I know i sound ridiculuos and you can laugh at me as much as you want but what is a theme....

Basically its just a set of icons, sounds, wallpaper, fonts etc combined together to create a unique UI.

thats pretty sweet. So like if i downloaded on it would change all my menu icons and stuff just like a theme on an ipod touch.

On a regular mobile phone, all it does is re-skin the phone and put some icons on the main screen. Unfortunately, you don't get anything other than that. Most of them suck, too, but there are a few that are pretty cool looking. I've personally found that when using a theme, your battery drains faster.
