I'm brand spanking new 2 this site. just heard about it this morning & have been obssessed & not able 2 get any work done all morning. lol! i've been w/sprint for 11-12 yrs and never heard about retentions or e-care. just heard about sero yesterday. i'm constantly upgrading my phone because I love new toys, so I never give my contract a chance to run out & sprint has NEVER done any xtra 4 me like i'm reading on this site. 8 mos ago I changed my phone yet AGAIN 2 to treo 700 AND added a new line of svc 4 my 11 y/o. I paid FULL price for the treo & only got like a $25 or $50 rebate on the 2nd phone. I just saw the new pink centro and damn me, I want it!! but I don't want to pay full price again. As loyal & as long as i've been a sprint customer (1996) I feel like they should do somthg 4 me. HELP! ANYBODY! Thx!!

Yes, call customer service and explain it to them just like you did here and see what they can do for you.

:welcome:
I was just like you in June when I discovered this site wondering why I did not have any loyalty perks. Take the time to read some of the threads under the General Questions and FAQs. There is a lot of great information and helpful members on this site.
First - are you unhappy with your Treo and just want that new form factor? If that is the reason, then you might try emailing eCare and mentioning how much you "don't like" the Treo and is there anything they can do for you in order to get a Centro. They may require you to return the Treo. It has happened but make sure if you do return something to Sprint you keep track of all the tracking numbers. There are horror stories about lost returns.
There is a "sticky" under Tips and Tricks, I believe, in emailing ecare. Be very polite and comment on how long you have been with Sprint.
Direct email address is :
eCare1@cc.sprintpcs.com
eCare2@cc.sprintpcs.com
eCare3@cc.sprintpcs.com
eCAre4@cc.sprintpcs.com
Make sure you include your account name holder, billing address, account phone numbers, and password. Can take 24 hours for a response. Many people prefer to deal with eCare because of the written record.
Do you work for a company that is listed in the NVP list? That can get you some discounts - varies by company - list is on sprint.com site.
Do you belong to a credit union? that is worth 10% but is a NVP discount so I would take the higher of the 2.
Since you appear to be on a standard plan - I would ask for a loyalty discount since you do not have any.
Are you aware of the Major change in terms and Conditions in the Sprint contract that was effective 1/01/2008? There is a BIG thread on this which I would suggest you read. Many people have parleyed this into some benefits for themselves. If you have many lines of service, you maybe in a position to negotiate very politely.
SERO is a great plan but it is not necessarily the best plan for everyone particularly people with many lines on a family plan.
Welcome to SU - and good luck.:wavey:

I would def email ecare and explain your situation. Being a loyal customer of theirs for so long will def have some pull when trying to get some discounts and perks. Give it a shot and let us know how you make out.

If you dig through the archives, there are some templates posted on ecare letters sent in.

Thx you everybody! i'm still @ work. Can't wait to go home & really get into this site! I do work for a company that gets the NVP, so I get that. i'm not totally unhappy w/my treo, but I don't LOVE it either. I do find it 2 be a little 2 bulky. the centros came out literally 2 mos after I bought this & I was kicking myself, but I said whatever. now they're in pink & I love it. I had a pink katana when the katana's were brand new (abt 18 mos ago?) I loved my katana & kept it 2 go back just in case this treo acts up. it was just that my standard palm stopped working & I really needed 2 stay organized, so I bought the treo. I'm gonna email e care & I will keep u guys posted! thx again, I love this site!

Welcome indeed! The search option and of course the FAQ's here alone are a great source of information.
I also remember the first time I found this after years of being a Sprint customer. I was beside myself!
Welcome again and all the advice above is solid advice and a great place to start!
Make sure you let us know how things go and don't be afraid to ask about what you are being offered BEFORE you re-up.
