View Full Version : No Vision on one of my lines

Background: This line had Vision access blocked. I got new individual plans for the 3 lines on my account a few months back, and since Vision was included for a lower price, I had them turn it on. It didn't work on the phone (Sanyo 7300) but they said it was because they added Power Vision and it was a non-Power Vision phone. Not wanting them to mess with it I left it t that.

Last week we swapped that phone with an A900, a Power Vision phone. One person says that the phone isn't compatible with the plan that's on there, whereas another person says everything is set up fine and they don't know what the issue is. The phone isn't the problem; it's gone online before when it was on another account. One person I spoke with said that IP Basic was missing, so he added it but the phone still doesn't work. Tech support had me take off the battery and put it back on and all that. Trying to go online gives an Error 1012 or 67 (67 would make sense cuz it's trying to log in with old info), and updating vision profile gives error 2048. They said the next time I call they're gonna try to input everything in the phone manually.

I've also tried changing the Vision username via the website, but that didn't do anything either.

Any ideas??

Try having them remove the vision completely off the phone, and refresh the ip...then have them add it back on, and check to see if the information updates to show your information on there. If I remember correctly, this may be a teir 2 tech support issue, so you may have to get transferred to them first.

according to the FAQ for 3g error codes

2048 Error Code #2048 Network Busy. Please try
again. Handset cannot acquire a traffic channel - This
error message appears after 60 seconds of not being
able to acquire a traffic channel

confusing? yes?

Update... I called Tier 2 tech support today and explained the problem to them. They removed and readded IP Basic on the phone and all is well!
