Hi,
I recently spoke with retention and was given a decent plan. Well, the loyalty discount helps a lot.
At that point, I had decided to go with couple phones which we didn't like. So, I returned them and am shopping for new ones.
I am considering the Centro -- but, that would require a data plan. I would like to know, what is the best plan of action-- to get a new plan with data from retention?
I guess the bigger question if, would retention still entertain helping me? As, I just signed a 2 yr deal.
Thanks...
Please :1zhelp:

Call retention again or pay full price for the data plan...

OKAY-----
1. if you get a centro yes data plan is needed for that phone---too many things to use online.
2. if you call retentions maybe they will help you out maybe not...say what was offered and see.....be greatful if they do offer you something
ask about the data plans and see/get informed about the best for you and the other lines.....
my second line only uses data once a month to get a ringtone or pic from me...im always checking mail, texting, looking at news, and football scores on my phone from work because of my boss can log how long i am on but not that i am really on the page and not working....
good luck

first of all. you dont have to have a data plan with the centro. Sometimes you have to have it to get a mail in rebate but you can always take it off. You can always have the internet blocked. Second, since ret already is helping you out with phones more than likely they wont help you out with the data plans. But the basic $15 dollar data plans will work.

I wish my ultimate pack did give me unlimited text. Alas, the $25 "ultimate pack" + 300 texts @ $5 = $30. I believe the $30 pro pack is what offers the unlimited texts but that pack drops some of the TV functionality that ultimate pack has.

Yep. Although with SERO you would need to add back the comprehensive TV/radio stuff that the ultimate pack has.

Yes, it was signed back in Aug 07. I had bought Upstage and M610 -- but returned those, as my wife didn't like Upstage that much.
Thanks for the advice -- I think I will give it a shot with Ret. won't push my luck -- have a good plan as it is, but without data.

I suppose it really depends on what they have offered you so far but from my experience, there should be no problem adding atleast a discounted power vison on your account through retention. Tell us how it went!

no u don't "have to have" a data plan unless u want to use full features of a smart phone. u can still use a few of the features like the calander. i had a centro and did not have the data plan till i got the touch.
