My sanyo m1 had pictures that were marked with an x, because it was corrupted. i couldnt delete it, and i couldnt see it in mass storage mode when connected to a computer. heres how you get it off: connect it to your computer as a mass storage device, ive only tried this with windows xp home edition. restart your computer. before the welcome screen, it should say checking disk for consistency. when its done those annoying pics are gone.

that or right click the sanyo m1 in my computer, select properties, then go to check disk and it does the same :-)
thats one feature i like about vista if it suspects a removeable device may have issues, or may have been disconnected prematurely it will actually prompt you scan the disk when you plug it in

Yea, I found out about this one day when I accidentally pressed on the power button of the laptop with the phone plugged in, and realized it was checking the drive letter of the phone, so I just let it run. I was pretty suprised that the phone was fixed.
Good to know that theres an easier way to do this, do you know what creates the corrupted pictures?
I remember seeing them after BT'ing a lot of songs to a friend.

deleting files, unplugging the phone prematurely, failed data transfers, it seemed the M1 was very touchy about its built in storage
