Changing the Slot Cycle Index on the Katana

Hey there,

After reading a lot of posts I've determined that changing the slot cycle index on my Katana may fix the problem I've been having (namely, only receiving about 60 percent of the calls made to my phone). However, I can't figure out how to change the SCI on the phone, and nobody here in the forums has said how to either.

So, how does one change the Slot Cycle Index on a Katana?

I found this in a post from 2001, and things may have changed since, but here's what I found when I googled it:

"Just an FYI, switching the slot cycle settings on your handset does nothing because the network overrides it anyway. The slot cycle settings are network based not handset based despite what others might try to claim."

Also, I looked up the patent info for 2007, and it looks as if the slot cycles are still networked based, not handset based... so no matter what your phone says it is, it maybe different depending upon what the network itself actually uses.

Can anyone else confirm/ deny my findings?
