My contract is up in Feb 2008 and was wondering if peopel are receiving better offers and what I shoudl ask/expect to receive.

I currently have:
Sprint Fair and Flexible
550 Anytime Minutes
Line #1: $59.99
Line #2: Free
Additional Lines- $9.99
Free Long Distance
Free Nights starting at 6PM
Free Roaming
Free Mobile to Mobile
Corporate discount 23%

$46.20 before taxes/fees

I beleive this is a pretty standard family plan but would like more minutes without going to power plans (they appeatr to be more expensive) and would also like unlimited text. Please let me know what you have received and what I should pursue or ask for. Thanks

They may be able to offer you a 1000 minute plan for $40 or $50 per month. As far as the Unlimited Text, offers vary. What will be offered to you or what you actually get will depend on your previous history with the company (from on-time payments to how you treated customer service reps in the past). Lengthy notes are kept on each customer and what the notes hold and your history with the company is almost everything.

the best advice probably is to ask for what you actually need. some people ask for unlimited text even though they don't need it. so only ask for what you actually need

Good call. I was about to say the same thing.

I'm not sure if this is still true or not, but in early 2007 when I was offered the $40/1000 plan, it was not compatible with shared lines.

You are right on that...The more I think about it the $40/1000 Plan is the $50/1000 Plan reduced to $40 by a $10 MRC.

$50/1000 Plan - Sharable
$40/1000 Plan - Individual

I think that is how it goes.
