if detroit could've stopped 'big baby' whatever his name is, there would have been a different result saturday night. the celts look good right now, on pace for chicago's record in wins, but I'm waiting to see how things go down in the playoffs. :)

celts and pistons are the two teams to be reckoned with this season for sure...yeah "Big Baby" Glenn Davis had the game of his life on saturday...but thats the thing about the celts you gang up on any of the big 3 and our young players are going to hurt you....im just glad we got our revenge on the pistons...haha

i got the calendar marked for 3/5, the rubber game for these 2 teams... the only regular season game left that i care about :)

that game is going to be the deciding factor for playoffs i believe...but i have to admit that it is good to be living in new england right now....celts, sox, pats....hells yeah....

yeah really got the sports thing on lock... it's cool. michigan's been decent, the lions are awful, but otherwise we usually have contenders year in and year out in bball, hockey, baseball, and college teams.

yeah very true...although i had hope for the lions to be honest...i wanted them to at least make it to the playoffs...kitna had a great start then just died out.

celtics are an amazing team right now, and have really shown they deserve the spot as #1 team in the nba. But alot of idiots arent giving them the credit for it. Like I was watching ESPN after the game and they were saying if the celtics didnt have one of the "Big Three" that they would have lost. But clearly that isnt true if you watch a review of Saturday nights game you'll notice that KG was out the first half of the game due to foul trouble, and the Suger Ray only had like 6 points. Not to mention that Paul Pierce is the most overlooked player in the NBA. He has been carrying Boston on his back, and now he's being over looked due to KG and Ray Allen. Fact of the matter is if you take KG, or Ray Allen out you'll be too busy trying to double team Paul Pierce to notice guys at the arch like Eddie House, and James Posey or "Big Baby" Glenn Davis under the basket, AND most likely if he goes hard hes getting the extra point because your gonna foul him. Face it the celtics have an amazing team, and are the #1 team in basketball, and not because of the "Big Three" but because "It Takes Five"

it actually takes more than five...thats why you have back ups like house, t.a., big baby, pollard, scalabrine...they all add something to this team that cant always be measured in points or stats...but this team is exactly that...a team...

It's a long season but the celtics and pistons look impressive so far. The Cavs aren't playing good so far but we all know King James can win games by himself. My Cleavland Indians should have made it to the world series last seaons and they should be as good next year. My Cleavland Browns won 10 games but missed the playoffs. They should be better next year but they need to stop the run. Ohio State had another great season even after getting pounded in the national championship game. They should be better next season.

They make everyone around them better.
The CAVS gave them one of those 3 losses! We're getting it together so we can stomp the crazy irishmen in the Eastern Conf. Finals!

the crazy irishmen will go all the way...we keep getting better....our combined loses have been by a total of 5 points...i think thats pretty good...and the team is just growing stronger each game....
P11guy

:haha: Thats right!
5 points total combined.
every team that has beat us, we've gone back and
beat by more than 5 points.
Cav's wont put up a fight.
Detriot might slow us down,
thats about it.

it's gonna be funny when your team who doesn't have 1 player who's ever been to the finals gets bumped. not saying they will, but one win over Detroit doesn't mean the season is over. It's all about the playoffs baby!!
jimmyeat311

oh i understand its all about the playoffs...but i think that the celts have a great core and a good set up back ups and are pretty well set up for playoff style basketball. i know anything can happen but i have a good feeling

yeah its wonderful you feel this way.
But you should really look into history before you open your mouth,
We have two players that have been on teams that have played in the finals.
Scot Pollard # 66 on the celtics.
Played for Clevland in last year in the finals.
Brian Scalabrine # 44 on the celtics.
Back in 03 was in the in finals with New Jersey.
Not saying these two are the greatest players ever.
BUT CHECK YOUR FACTS.

Not that it's a lot of points, but still funny you reply to me in that tone
Sun, Nov 18 @ Orlando L 102-104
Tue, Nov 27 @ Cleveland L 104-109 OT
Wed, Dec 19 Detroit L 85-87
And what was up with that game last night? The Bobcats?? At home? Ouch. :hee:

First of all I never originally said the 5 points, i was going off of what someone else said.
Second, we'll you were somewhere in detriot or the surrounding area last night, I WAS AT the celtics game.
So you probibily didnt know that Ray Allen and Glen Davis.
We're both out of the game with injuries.
Also there was one ref, who couldnt put his whisle down when boston had
the ball. Plus Boston shouldnt try to hard against teams like the bobcats.
And still Add in the lost to the bobcats it 29-4. Yeah
whats detriots Standing?
Oh and Scot Pollard, when he played for Clevland That was the year
they knocked you guys out the play offs...
Why do we keep talking about Scott Pollard!? He sucks, that's why Cleveland got rid of him, he's like the 11th man on any roster, probably played for like 5 different teams! I think he played like 20 minutes for Cleveland...lol.

meh, this discussion isn't worth my time until the playoffs. there's still ~40 games until then, anything can happen, and standings don't mean anything... look at cleveland, they could still do some damage in the playoffs.

That's what I said...It's a long season and it's better to be peeking/playing good right before the playoffs then now. The Cavs just need one good shooting guard that can give King James a rest.

i understand but just remember...big baby guarding regular season duncan is different than rage kage guarding duncan in the post season...aka...garnett will own in the playoffs.

congratz. But remember one thing, the western conference is a tougher conference than the east. That is why no one has clinched a playoff spot yet. I believe that IF the lakers would have won the game against the kings, we could have clinched. And another thing to keep an eye out for.. the BLAZING hot Rockets, with their 18 game win streak. :D

the rockets are hot...but they will burn out...i still think they are not the best team in the west!
