View Full Version : Does Anyone Actually Use The Standard Sprint Plans?

Does anyone actually use the standard Sprint plans offered on the website, or in store, without any special additions or anything added on to their plan? It seems like almost everyone on here has a special type of plan going on with a lot of perks, etc.

That depends on what you mean. I have a standard plan but I strongarmed into them giving me some of the features in that plan for free.

Sprint Users makes up a very small portion of Sprint's customer base. Most of the users here may have custome plans, but overall, Sprint's customers all have standard plans.

Exactly. We need to thank those poor saps paying full price. If it wasn't for them, Sprint couldn't afford to give away the house with plans like SERO.

I have a standard sprint plan I haven't asked for anything special because I receive 25% off my monthly bill due to my employer. So yes I am one of those poor saps.

During my first year with Sprint, I had a standard plan. Then, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. :)

25% isn't bad though. =)

a lot of people here come fishing for information to see how they can get their bills down by either a) legitimately getting stuff given to them via messups by sprint or via loyalty or b) calling and threatening to cancel when they have no intent or c) whine and complain until they get onto sero.

Im still on a standard plan. 2 lines 550 shared minutes $39.99. $15 Power Vision on primary, $15 unlimited text on primary, $7 TEP on primary, and with all the taxes, surcharges, etc... I pay about 95.00 per month. I would love to get on a SERO plan. I was actually thinking about doing the cancel without ETF because of the change of terms and conditions, and then signing up for the sero plan.

I had a regular plan until August of last year. No whining or begging here either. Got the info and simply asked.

HEy whats this sero that everyone is talking about? Also if i called and said i was cancelling due to the change of terms and services would they allow me to cancel with out paying the fee?

Likely yes (until Jan. 30), but it would really depend on the representative you talk to and the terminology you use to describe the changes in contract.

Do you think i could use this as leverage and tell them im cancelling unless i get free vision?

I just signed up with Sprint and now I'm wondering if I made a mistake...

We were loyal and $$$ paying Cingular customers forever, but we just left AT&T after the worst fiasco over an aircard and absolute refusal by AT&T to bend the rules over us having the aircard for 50 days not working (the rep at my local AT&T store outright lied when giving us a new aircard to try, thus putting us over our 30-days). That fiasco cost us the aircard and half the contract early termination fee.

We had great coverage with Cingular and now with Sprint the phones won't work in our house (tho a tower is IP within 5 miles now) and my husband's number is having technical difficulty being ported... Is this a sign of things to come?

If I'm gonna get out, I need to do it asap. I'm really freaked out over all this. I've now spent a fortune on phones and the $200 credit backup, connection fees, etc.

Supposedly porting one number will be done in 5-7 days...we'll see. Monday is day 7...

We went with the Motorola Q phone and LG Muziq phone. I got the 700 minute family plan for $69.99 and the Power Vision Ultimate Pack for $25.00. Thing is, neither includes unlimited text messaging, which makes no sense to me.
So, I asked the nice CS lady to please see what she could do for unlimted text on both phones, which she did. She found a code to do it free. :headbang2

So, I'm a happy camper for now and hope to stay that way.
Since I'm "in a bowl" out here in the swamps, connecting inside the house is an issue. We're hoping to ditch AT&T land lines asap. There's supposed to be a Sprint tower working within 5 miles any day now, so hopefully that will help inside the house.
