View Full Version : Sanyo SCP-3200 Bluetooth DUN Error Code 67
Hi. When I bought my phone, the specs said I could tether it to my laptop to get an internet connection, so I went out and bought a bluetooth adapter and followed some instructions to get DUN over bluetooth working with SprintPCS Vision. Unfortunately, every time I try to dial #777 over the bluetooth modem, my phone dials, and then spits an Error Code 67 at me:
"Registration failure. Your Sprint Data Services username and/or password may be incorrect. Please try again."
(Yes, I have tried resetting my SprintPCS Vision password and updating my profile and waiting 24 hours).
When I dial #777 from the handset, I get a voice saying the feature-code I have entered is invalid.
It seems my only option with this phone may be to purchase a USB cable and download the connection manager software from Sprint? I would really rather not do this because I prefer using Linux over Windows if possible.
Also, if it's not possible to get access over bluetooth through my phone, does anyone know of any loopholes in the two-year contracts that would let me cancel my plan?
So, I guess on 12/14 Sprint release a new version of their connection manager software for my phone, which now supports bluetooth, so I don't have to go out and buy a USB cable. Unfortunately, when I try to connect with their software, I still get "Error Code 67" (the same error as from above). Their software doesn't even give me the opportunity to enter a username and password though!? Any thoughts?
Just for the archive, according to Sprint technical support, the error code 67 is an error on the phone, not an error with the configuration on the computer. It's weird, because I can get internet access from the phone's web browser, but the error seems to indicate trouble logging in to SprintPCS Vision. Anyway, technical support said they could troubleshoot the issue but I need to call from another phone line (I don't feel like walking to a pay phone right now because it's cold and raining). Anyone know what kinds of things they can troubleshoot remotely?

do you have a phone as modem plan ($39.99)?
Hey, thanks for your response! No, I don't have a phone as a modem plan. But, there is also no option for me to add a phone as a modem plan, at least that I can find anywhere on my sprint.com.

you need to have one, it can be added by CS. the reason you are getting error 67 is because your phone is not provisioned for PAM.
Ah, I see. Well, I guess I can stop pulling my hair out then. Thanks for letting me know about that! I was kind of confused about it. Whenever I searched for Bluetooth and DUN on the forums, it seemed like there would always be a thread that was like, "I got it to work without PAM," and then other people would respond and say, "yep, worked for me." But now when I look at the dates on some of those threads I see things have probably changed. Thanks again!
