Im an idiot with the Mobile to mobile outgoing call trick

First of all, what happened to the thread about this? I wanted to post this in there.
Anyway, apparently, dialing 11 before the phone number does not only go right to voicemail with sprint customers. It also does it with others, verizon for instance. Im not sure about any others. But, I have my speed dial set up to do the mobile to mobile trick and make it easier entering the many numbers required. Recently, my girlfriend got sprint, so I decided to use her number instead of one of my friends. When I switched the number in my phone, I my M500 has a glitch and when I entered my girlfriends number, the phone swapped the last two numbers, and i wasn't calling a sprint number all the times I tried to use the M to M. But, it was still going to voicemail for the number i was dialing, and when i checked my minutes, i was over 100 minutes on my plan and i was only in the second week of my billing period! I found out about the mistake in my phone's contact speed dial, fixed it, and now it works again.
At first, I though sprint caught me, but then noticed that it was because i was an idiot. Bye

Hello, can you please tell me more about the "trick" if one were to try this...how would they go about it?
