Text message outages/delays TODAY!

Hey everyone! Happy New Year! Yes, I am at work today (yay double time and a half!).

I just wanted to let everyone know that since last night, text messages, picture mail, etc. can take 30-60 minutes to be delivered, depending on where you live. It's because of insane holiday text/picture mail traffic. The most extreme lags are in New York, Texas and California but lags are being reported EVERYWHERE.

This is a network lag. If you call tech support, we won't be able to help you. We can't speed up the network and it's processing speeds. Just be patient, eventually things will catch up and the network will start processing messages/picture mail at normal speeds again.

What! you can't speed up the network? j/k. oh well, it only took me a minute to get a text. Pic mail is always a little slow for me. Merry New Year! :)

i'm not experiencing any delay's.. i'm in texas. BUT anytime i try to send a message to any at&t users about 80% of the time it says "message failed" i just have to keep trying until it finally sends. anyone else experiencing this?

I just got a text at about 5:30pm that was sent at 4:00am, so I would say there was a little delay.

oh ok...i was wondering why my phone would give me an error msg ever time i tried to text...i was ready to return this Touch back to the store.lol

Seems like Im still having slowdown issues...and the time stamps on incoming messages are showing up incorrect too....Anyone know when its gonna be fixed?

We still have not been sent an 'all clear' message from the network engineers. As far as I know, it's still going on in some areas. I live in Colorado and I didn't get any errors sending or receiving until yesterday. Twice I got an error when sending a message but I just sent it again and it went through fine. Sorry guys! :(

In NY, I'm getting a Network Busy Error 2048 when I try to do anything with Power Vision for the last day and a half.

We got a message on Friday saying the lag issue had been resolved and everything was working again. Sorry I didn't post earlier about it.
