i just called sprint to cancel one of my lines and this is what they gave me if i kept it

keep in mind i have 3 phones on my account

Shared Free and Clear With 1000 Mins Shared

1st Line 40 Dollars, Free Internet and Unlimited Text
2nd Line-0 dollars, Free Internet and Unlimited Text
3rd Line-0 Dollars, Free Mobile to Mobile

all lines get mobile to mobile free

also i get 38 % off my monthly bill

awesome aint it

every time i have ever called cs, they tell me there is no such thing as a retention department.
Sigh.


Good for you tho!! wish my phone line was as cheap as that. The only thing I ever used to get off was calling and saying dropped call, hell no they just give you more minutes!!!

When you call in jimba - that automated voice how she can help you and you reply "CANCEL". It will route your call to retentions.

Good for you tho!! wish my phone line was as cheap as that. The only thing I ever used to get off was calling and saying dropped call, hell no they just give you more minutes!!!

They may figure since you know the actual department name, that you are just calling for free stuff.

As the posted above me stated, just state "CANCEL" when calling *2

I think it's also called account services - but I'm not absolutely sure about that. They don't like to be called retentions....

I have to agree don't ever ask for retentions... as stated above just say "cancel" at the automated prompt or if you speak to someone just tell them you want to cancel your service and they'll transfer you before you can take a breath.

how are you able to get 38% off your bill? i was told the max a person even in business was 25%

spirit be on some old bs they owe me money they clam that they can't refund my doe i did a check to get my service back on thanksgiving day and they never cute me back on i waited for six hrs and then i called back they had me on hold for over a hour then i hung up so i call back then they're closed so i use my visa to get my phone back on that worked so i tryed to get them to void my check payment they they told me to have my bank do it so i did but they still taxed me like i didn't just pay em they hit my account three times for tha check Now they sayin i did a bad check what should i do?

Yes I do get unlimited Nights and Weekends which reminds me i need to check of when they start also the rep told me there were 2 codes on my account for my discount which means i get a 19% discounts Twice :)

I hate when my customers call the cable co, wanting to use a check. Moral of your story... why can't people ever use their Visa or MC Debit card to pay their bills? It's the same thing as a check, but takes the money out FASTER!
Use a Debit card from now on to pay your bills or buy stuff, and chg it as a credit card payment, this way, when some bad stuff goes down, you get your money back.

As far as what to do about your check... I think you should have your bank BLOCK any attempts from Sprint to take money out. I forgot the name of the process, but some company did that to me once, and they kept hitting my account. So I called the bank and had them blacklisted.

I don't see how $25 + tax for 3 lines isn't an awesome deal. It's even probably better than the individual SERO plans and he's getting 2 free lines.

Is that $40/1000 minute plan with free internet and text a standard offering for Sprint now? There is another thread with someone else who has two lines and got the same thing.

I'm supposedly getting 29% off my bills, but it never seems to add up. But whatever, discounts are discounts.

That's probably because they take on discount off of the entire bill then apply the next discount to the already discounted bill.

Yep...that's how they most likely do it...here's an example of what that would look like.

Let's say you have a bill for $100.
You assume that since your discounts add up to 29% it should be $71 (100-21).

However, if they take the 15% first, then it's $85, then they take 14% off of that for $11.90 ($85 x .14). So $85-11.90 = 73.10. Which is really a 26.9% discount.

(as if you guys all really wanted to know that, right LOL)
