View Full Version : PowerVision problems after number swap

I recently got a Palm Centro with a new plan, and had my old phone number (on a Samsung A900, which that account is still active) swapped with the new number. But after finding out they couldn't swap the number on the actual accounts (billing), I had the numbers in the phones swapped back.

Since then, Powervision access does not work on the Palm, with error 67. And I've been on the phone with tier 2 tech support for at least 2 hours today trying to resolve it with no luck. Afterwards, I tried programming the Centro with the username/password that is on the A900 account, and it works. Does this mean that powervision is not tied to the ESN or MobileID of the phone?
Or would it be there an error in my account info and they have the ESN of the new Palm phone on my A900 account?
I've tried the RESTORE option in the ##3282# menu using the MSL code, and also the UPDATE VISION PROFILE (which does complete successfully and reloads the account information for the Centro account), but still get error 67 when attempting to connect. Only when I manually put the account info for the A900 into the Centro will it work.
Anyone have any ideas before I get on the phone with tech support again?
(evdo on the A900 no longer works either, and 1x only is working part of the time)

The NAI associated with your account probably needs to be reset. During an ESN swap, the NAI and password information should switch over to the new phone with no problems but, occasionally, something buggy happens and it doesn't provision all the way through. There are a couple of things that will need to be reset to fix it. You're going to need to call Sprint tech support again. Everything that has to be done is on the network side, there's nothing you're going to be able to do on your phone to fix it permanently. Sorry. :(

Please see my above post. Typically, this is not a phone issue, it's a network issue. You'll need to call tech support so we can reset some things on the network side for you. Hope this helps! :)
