View Full Version : Retentions When I'm Not the Account Holder?

So I'm on a shared plan with 2 phones, and the contract on my line (which is *not* the account holder's line) expired on December 15th. I want to talk to Retentions and try and get a Mogul as an upgrade (for a bit cheaper than the standard price, of course) and free unlimited texting if possible.

Will Retentions even talk to me if I'm not the account holder? If so, what information will I need to give them for validation that I'm on the account? For various reasons it's easier for me to call Retentions than have the account holder do it.

Thanks guys!

You can call up and act like you are the account holder. Normally they will ask for your name, and either the account password, or the last for digits of the account holder's social security number.

yep, although its somewhat fraud you can do that, i make my girlfriend call in all the time to do her own ESN swaps lol and thats a female calling in on a males account, they sometimes try to quiz her but she just is persistent and they usually let her do her thing

if it's done with the account holder's knowledge and consent, then i wouldn't call it fraud.

Thanks guys, I'll have to give it a try.

I've been with Sprint for about 5 years and between our two lines, we're paying approximately 100 a month. Do you think I have a chance at getting unlimited texting and/or PCS Vision free?

I do it all the time. I know a lot more about dealing with Sprint than my parents do (mostly do to Sprintusers :) ) and they will make me call. They are normally too impatient and just don't feel like doing it. But I don't mind doing it because it pretty much allows me to make our plan how I want it.
EDIT: Spring changed to Sprint

companies still consider it as such because they arent the legal owner whether its with or without consent
