My M1 has lost the ability to charge (the main board is corroded) so I need to buy a new phone. Which of the Sanyos Sprint sells now is the best to get that most closely matches the feature set of the M1? Right now I'm leaning towards the Katana DLX, but I'd really miss the flashlight and the 2MP camera. Are there any other phones I should look at that are available now or coming in the next few months?

Yea, i pointed to my 2 mp camera and said, what about that? he just shrugged. but anyways to the op, if you have a $150 upgrade credit, go for the dlx, but if not, look around for a deal on a m1, one went for 75 bucks recently here.

..but then, he pointed to the FM transmitter, expandable microSD slot, thin form factor, usable battery, non-cramped keys, and said, what about that?
I'm just kidding. I wouldn't dare upset M1 loyalists! (you guys are almost as bad as Amiga fanatics)

FM Transmitter: Barely works well
MicroSD: Preference thing... don't really need it
Thinness: Another preference thing
Usable battery: Never had an M1 battery problem
Cramped Keys: 1 point to you sir
Some of us M1 loyalists have used the Musiq, and came running back home. Not all of us are fanboys ya know?

it's a matter of what the wel list says. people must be ditching their m1's and doing buy backs on them which turn into reconditioned models (phone's been out for a year now). i know during the summer, they didnt have any m1's for recons for a bit.
now if only i can turn my samsung 940 into a razr v9m :D

The Katana DLX is not a good replacement for the M1 either in MHO.

X2, it doesn't have external music controls, camera is 1.3mp, external screen is puny, no flashlight, I had a lot of fingerprints on the grooved part.
Don't switch out the M1 for a Muziq!
That's the worst trade of the century.

HAHA! You're telling me!!! That was the ONLY choice I got from the repair shop since they couldn't repair my M1 and i would have to wait between 3 - 4 weeks before they could get another M1 to replace. So I took the Muziq and I've been missing my M1 ever since!

No, actually I (and a few others on here have you beat. For the 5600 they tried to pass off the 8300.
