DLX camera problem

New phone for my wife. It's about 20 days old. There is a problem with the camera/camcorder display. When you turn on the camera or camcorder function the display looks like a bunch of vertical lines/bands across the screen.

I've played with the camera and camcorder settings, pulled the battery and restarted but nothing has fixed it. The camera/camcorder function did work when we first got it.

The software version is 1.002SP and the hardware is 0203.

At this point I figure it needs to be replaced. I have insurance and I am under the first 30 day period. What are my options? Do I call or got to the store? Will the replacement DLX be new or a refurb?

The phone is under a new SERO $30 plan that was switched from an old out of contract sprint account.

go to the store and exchange it for a new one since your within the 30 day period

Well, I just got back from the sprint store and they told me that they could not do the exchange. I will have to call telesales when they open.

The corp store emp said he could find no record of purchasing the DLX on my account. He then told me that I would have to call sprint to get a replacement since I didn't buy it through the store.

Anyway, I just received the replacement (brand new) DLX and the software version is 1.010SP so everything worked out. I hate going into the store. Grrr.....
