after the end of your voicemail message you usually press a key such as 1 or something, and if the VM system your leaving the voicemail on supports it that will be one of the options

Its possible to do but the message has to orignate from your voicemail, basically folly these steps to do it.
Call and login to your voicemail then...
1. Press 2 from the main menu to send a vm to one (or more) Sprint users. 2. After you record the vm, press #. Press 1 if you are happy with your vm as is. Press 2 to listen to it. Press 3 to re-record. 3. Your next set of options will allow you to mark urgent (press 2), mark private (3)(so the sender can't forward it), get a receipt vm (4) so that you know if your recipients heard your voicemail, or schedule a future delivery of your vm (5).
I havent done it in such a long time I forgot that you could.
