Ok I really needed a new cell phone after cancelling with AT&T so I went to the sprint store and got the M300 just to get started but then saw the Q9c and fell in love. To my demise I was told I had to goto the sprint kiosk I got my M300 from instead which I wasn't able to do so I went ahead and got another plan with the Q9c and called to cancel my line with the M300.

After calling I guess the retention department I was sent to a very nice CSR named Mark. He said he could give me a "special plan" that would combine my 2 seporate (450 PowerPack)s into 1 Family plan. Here's what I eventually ended up with...

2 lines, one of which I am NOT using, 1,000 minutes all for $40.

Then he offered me Unlimited SMS for $8 so I took that.

So after all of thise I called to add unlimited web and data so I could use my phone as a modem and they tell me it's already there... so here's what I have now.

1,000 Minutes
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
Included Roaming and Long Distance
Unlimited Power Vision
Unlimited SMS TXT
$48/month

Now I've seen people paying $20 or so for what seems just as many features through discounts and smooth talking... is there anything I can do to bring the bototm line down or does that seem fair to everyone else?

Thanks!

I think your $$$ amount is in line but are you able to use the 2nd line? as in a GF,BF, mistress or wife? if not I would try to bargain it away, and did you gets nights at 7 or better yet 6? if not I would try to get that. you might try calling back and saying how about we ditch line two and drop $8text, get the 500free txt(if thats enough) and you pay $5 for nights at 6 or 7. just a thought. I just recently ended up with a free AAP im not using and im already wondering what im gonna do with it....mistress? hhhmmmm....

BTW, I have 4, (now 5) lines sharing 800min. my mom uses a lot, wife uses a lot, stepdad uses very little and I use a moderate amount and we only go over a *little*...

LOL You're getting all that for $48 and wondering if you're overpaying?

That's amusing.

That's a pretty nice price as it is. I wouldn't mess with it further if it were me. Heck, with the second line you can use your other phone without having to deactivate the Q9c if you so desired.

Yeah I'm probably going to give the 2nd line (M300) to my sis and just charge her for half so that technically I'll only be paying $24 instead.

Thanks for the tips ya'll.

My only concern is that you called to add Power Vision but they told you it's already there. Unless you have verified this already, what they might have given you is the standard free month, after which you will start to be billed monthly. In the past, they always put people on the most expensive PV Pack ($25).

^^ ditto what he said about your vision, make sure your not on a free trial, if you have a vision (ultimate?) that includes PAM at that price its pretty darn good, also you have roaming included which is good because if you live or travel in an area where sprint is weak you can roam onto verizon without worry. a lot of folks choose verizon over sprint based on coverage but you would pay much more for your package over there and if you can use their towers anyway you have the best of both worlds. only worry about sharing w/the sister is if she is a major motor mouth and kills your minutes. hope it works out, sounds like your doin ok.

I'm going to give sprint a ring tomorrow and make sure I'm not on the trial and make sure I can use PAM without charge As far as roaming you're right there is a VZW tower near my parents house in Baltimore and they live in the sticks so when I visit it's nice to have that there to roam on. Thanks again for the advice!

Ok, after calling Sprint they told me that it's included as a "special built" plan by their retentions CSR from an archived plan builder tool or something and that I can also tether my laptop included so I guess I really am getting a great price.

Thanks again everyone.

yeah for two lines that's a great deal. I wish I could add a line on my SERO plan!

Oh wow, so you got a cool GF web plan. Man, you better just stick with what u have... 2 lines, 1,000 MINUTES for $48.00? That's unheard of!
And this is with NO discounts. Can you imagine if this guyapplied for a corporate discount, @ maybe 25% and take advantage of a 10% loyalty....WHEW!

Well all you have to do is get 2 lines and call wanting to cancel one and they'll merge them into a family plan and ask for Power Vision and discounted unlimited TXT :)
