A lot of users have asked how to do this. Having your MSL can be a dangerous thing but knowing it can also be useful.

So... the following link has the tools (including Sanyo drivers) and instructions for retrieving you're M1's MSL.

If you find this helpful and are the giving type pass me along some $SU.

Hey thanks for the post... but are you supposed to have a serial data cable or can you use the usb cable that came with the M1? I am using the USB cable and installed all the drivers you provided... when i change the COM ports, it'll say couldn't open port blah... but when i choose 3, it doesn't come with that message so i press read all and nothing happens... help please...

Thanks.

Ok, look in you're device manager... make sure the com port u want 2 use is not taken... I mentioned ports 1-4 as an example... if 1-4 are being used... then another for the M1 must either be cleared or "adjusted". trust me this works... If u can't do this then "PM" me... and we can figure out a way to walk u through it...

Oh, I forgot... Ur supplied M! cable is the tit's for this... It will work...

Wow, thank you! I've been thinking about calling Sprint to get it, but you just saved me a lot of trouble.

EDIT: Doesn't work..."Connection was reset" ? I'm using Mozilla Firefox.

I assume the same program works unchanged for the 9000 as well? Anyone use this yet and can confirm?

Zonealarm Security Suite says that box.net is a spy site.

Can you host it somewhere else? Like rapishare or something?

I use rar to download the folder from box.net as previously mentioned; But when I click on the Sanyo drivers...it just opens the notepad with text only. How do I execute the .sys file to my computer? Thanks.

Right click the file and then click on install. there are 3 drivers to install

When I right click on Sanyomdm_xp.sys, for example, there is nothing in the right click menu that says ' install '. I do see extract or extract to specified folder. I'm confused.

You install the inf files, not the sys files...

Thanks, I finally was able to find the .inf drivers, but when I right click and install...nothing seems to happen. I click ' open ' but that just brings up the text only notepad. What am I missing?

Calling *2 and asking is easy and painless. Just throwing that out there.
