Adding Pro Vision-Can I remove it later with no penalties?

I want to give the Touch with Pro Vision a shot (a fair one! Seriously...) at replacing my iPhone but I am not sure I want to be saddled with Pro Vision for the rest of my contract if I don't like it. Can I remove it later without incurring penalties, or I am doooomed?! Thanks guys!

No, you are not bound to a contract with the Pro Vision. The only requirement may be to keep it at least 60 days if you got a mail in rebate for you phone. Other than that, you are not required to keep it for any length of time, and can cancel whenever you want with no penalty.

I guess I am using a mail in rebate, but I don't see any mention of it in the rebate terms, unless I am reading it wrong?

In fact the only term I see is that the phone has to be active for 30 days, no mention of service. Any insight?

If you look at the actual PDF of the rebate linked on that page, there are more conditions. For the Touch, though, you don't need to have any specific data plan. It's only the ones listed as "Smart/PDA phones" that require a $25+ data plan. And even so, with those, once your rebate check has been printed, you can change or drop your data plan without any penalty.
