ok, so it's coming down to the wire, DLX or Q9C? Anyway, I was wondering if the DLX has the capability to run google maps? If so, it would be able to utilize its GPS to serve as somewhat of a navigation device? I know the q9c does, and someone even posted that they connected their q9c to their laptop via usb and used google maps on their laptop and got a gps signal from the phone. Is this set-up possible with the dlx? Basically, does anyone use the GPS with any other programs other than the sprint branded $15/month nav package?
Thanks,
Devin

no, the DLX can use google maps but no gps features, you would have to use MGMAPS to utilize the gps features of the DLX otherwise you can also use telenav or other apps to utilize the GPS
id like to see who used the Q9c as a GPS unit because i didnt think it could be accessed like that but if it can i would like to do it for kicks
on my Q9c i have the PV ultimate pack so i get nav, plus theres google maps and windows live search,
on the dlx you could get mgmaps, or pay for telenav per month or get the PV nav pack

You should be able to get MGmaps working on the DLX, its a bit of a hassle though. I use it on my m610 all the time, plus you can get your maps from any provider - I use MS Maps.

mgmaps is easy to get working, just enroll the device at developer.sprint.com (when it asks for the phone # and esn the info must be exact, use your 10digit# and the HEX esn not DEC) and install the signed version from wap.mgmaps.com and your set
