I've searched the forum (and Google) and found a few instructions for the A900 (and a lot of "The A920 doesn't have that menu!"), but little mention of the M500. I love listening to http://somafm.com and want to listen on my phone while I drive, but the m500's media player keeps timing out after 5 minutes unless I remember to press a key.

The solution seems very similar to the A900.

I called customer service (from another phone) and said I want to change the multimedia time out setting (and I had to explain what I mean -- that streaming media from the web times out after five minutes, requiring you to press any key or it quits).

When I called, he couldn't help, so I said that I was Googling and found some instructions that might work if I had the MSL ID. He gave me the MSL ID.

Then, I tried approximately the same proceduare as the A900.

1. Dial ##3282#.
2. Go to "Multimedia" (6).
3. Go to "Edit" (2).
4. Enter the MSL ID when it asks for "Service Code". I thought "Service Code" would be different than MSL ID, but it's not.
5. Go to "Timeout" (4).
6. Go to "No Time-out" (4).
7. Reboot the phone! It didn't work until I powered it down, pulled the battery for a few seconds, put it back together and powere it up. I don't know if it was necessary to remove the battery.
