I just got my Q9c after upgrading from a Samsung A920. I didn't really have too many problems with the A920 until the end when my service would die sporadically untile i restarted. I dropped the phone at least 25 times in the 19 months I had it yet there weren't any major problems (its pretty durable). So I was wondering if its worth getting the Total Equipment Protection plan for the Q9c? I feel like this is a phone if dropped once could be affected heavily. I don;t want to end up paying a lot for damage to this phone after the 1 year warranty. I know this might not be the right thread for this, but I only have 26 days left to decide if I want to add the plan or not. Any advice/opinions/thoughts from ppl on both sides of the issue would be greatly appreciated.

ABSOLUTELY YES! GET THE TEP ON THE Q9c! I cannot stress enough on a Motorola phone it is worth every penny to get the TEP. I have NEVER owned a Motorola phone that hasn't @ some point failed on me and I had to have it replaced. With TEP it's almost hassle free. I'm on my THRID V9m and second Q9c already, phone issues, I've never broken one myself, seriously...Eventually the Q9c (especially under heavy use will disintegrate) bugs will start appearing, displays will stay lit etc: Mark my words! You'll be sooo glad you got the TEP. Thank me for this info later...:hee:

Does the protection plan stay with the phone, or the user? Reason is this, at the end of Dec, which is also the end of the 30-day trial period, my son and I will be swapping phones. (He is currently using the q 9c and I will assume use of it.) So does the TEP stay with the phone if I activate it now?

TEP stays with the PHONE NUMBER it is assigned to, not the phone.

So say on line 3 I get TEP, but line 1's phone breaks, can I do a swap, use insurance and then swap back?

Now THAT my friend is fraud! Can it happen? Sure.... chance of you getting caught for insurance fraud afterwards.... fairly high!
It would be a lot easier if you only had one line casue then it would be hard to tell..
