Q9c Backlight

Anyone find a backlight option? I just got my Q today and the display is dimmer then any cell phone ive seen. Might just be a dud.

my fault they have this lame auto backlight option you have to switch off

really? Seems to get to dim for me...maybe if they had a control for how how bright it gets and how dim it gets.

anyone else notice that their backlight turns on automatically sometimes even when the phone is inactive? i've noticed that sometimes when I leave the phone on the table for awhile the screen will turn one for like 1 or 2 sec then go back to off wothout me doing anything with the phone. any help on this would be great

Yeah that happens with my Q all the time too. Sometimes I get excited because I'm expecting a text or call, and .....nothing. :thought:

every PDA-phone i have owned has done that, treo600, 700p, centro, 6700, mogul, touch, q, q9c all have done it

Candlelight still works well for me. Disable the function on the Q9 then install candlelight. You can keep it dim all the time or brighten it as need be (say in the daylight). Nice little app.

I used Candlelight on my original Q all the time! It was a Godsend while driving at night, as the standard brightness on the Q was blinding at night.

I *LOVE* the new sensor-based automatic feature on the Q9c... I did not know about it until I was sitting at home playing with the phone and my wife turned the lights up in the living room (we have a dimmer switch) and suddenly my phone started getting brighter and brighter in a fade in/fade out sort of way... It was the coolest thing ever. :tu:
