Just a little background.. I commute every day about an hour each way. Usually taking a ferry here in Washington or sometimes by vehicle (as a passenger). I've been tethering occasionally to my Upstage, but it is a little slower than I liked. I have a Novatel U720 on my account but my friend uses it almost exclusively, although I've used it a couple times and obviously found it to be far superior to tethering.

I should also add that the entire market I'm in is upgraded to EVDO Rev. A.

First off, the packaging. I don't have any pics of it, but there's plenty available online. It comes in the little box just like all the other aircards. Mine came pre-activated with the phone number printed out on a sticker attached to the front of the plastic box they come in. The device comes with an attachment to allow you to attach the aircard to the top of your laptop screen as well as a short (maybe 1 foot) USB cable, just enough to plug into a USB port and then attach to your screen without any cable causing a mess by being too loose. It also comes with a rather nice 'sleeper' bag, which reminds me of the sleeper bag that comes with Prada shoes and the like. The bag has a small slot inside that perfectly fits the USB device itself, plus plenty of room to shove the holder and USB cable in, with a pull-string type closure. I didn't think I would use it, but after seeing how much I like the screen clip and usb cable, it is the best way to travel with everything, plus it is nice and soft and keeps it all safe from getting scratched up and whatnot.

You can find plenty of high quality pics online to show you what this thing looks like, but I went ahead and attached a couple pics of it attached to my laptop as well as the sleeper bag itself.

As for performance.. just.. wow!

I can't seem to insert any images, so I can't directly link the results from speedtest.net, but I'll attach those at the bottom also. Bottom line is: 1.8-2.9 megabit downloads (250-280k/sec on average for me when downloading files). Upload speeds are about 275-400 kilobit, or about 30-35k/sec. As fast as many cable companies limit you to.

Not much else to say except that I am very very impressed. This thing is fast and I've had no issues aside from the activation one that took 5 minutes to resolve. I love it! It also hops towers amazingly well as I commute across the Puget Sound or along the highways. I can even get my WoW gaming fix in while mobile :)

Since I can't post images in this for some reason? (Gotta be Premium? donno) Here is a few links to my Speedtest.net results:
