View Full Version : How do you view Youtube vids?
First of all, I can't even get the full youtube home page, I only get the mobile version.
But watching this guy's video review I see he can bring up the full Youtube webpage in Pocket Explorer.

How does he do that?

i cant answer about the homepage itself but he says in the review you need a 3rd party program to play youtube directly.
If you notice he is playing it in a plug in called tcpmp
look it up or ask around. others here will chime in on how to do that part.

I know Opera (when I still used it anyway) had a setting where you could have your phone disguise itself so sites that automatically send you to mobile portals like that won't know you're using a mobile browser and will let you access the proper page. Worked like a charm for YouTube.

Is tcpmp the same as "CoreCodec CorePlayer"? Because I just installed "CoreCodec CorePlayer v1.1.1 Build-1600 for SP" and it still won't let me visit youtube.com

corecodec is the evolution of tcpmp, downside is its commercial and the open source plugins dont work anymore,
go to http://allqstuff.googlepages.com/allqstuffapplications
and get the tcpmp there, and the youtube pack and youll be browsing youtube videos in notime, it even lets you download them which i love that feature!

What's the youtube pack? Is that the FlashVideoBundle?
Also: with this installed, does it actually take you to youtube.com? Because I'm still directed to m.youtube.com, and when I click on a video it opens with Windows Media and then prompt "network error".
I wish you were local :)

PS again - I now notice "Video Sites" on my Start menu. I guess that's how I'm supposed to access youtube right? I was opening IE directly and typing in youtube.com before.
