I have a friend who is switching to Sprint from Tmobile and I showed him how to order via sero. He decided he wanted a Centro. However when we selected the “Employee Referral Offer – For Power Vision Phones” (since the Centro is a PV phone) the only phone options you get are the Blackberry 8130 and 8830. So we went back and decided to select a phone first. When you select the Centro it automatically brings up the “Employee Referral Offer” under the heading it says “These plans are compatible with Sprint Vision phones only”. (no mention of Power Vision) I tried several times to figure out a way to get the Sero site to allow me to select a Power Vision sero plan with the Centro but it would not allow it. So finally we just placed the order with the Centro and the standard Vision 1250 plan.

After a few days of watching the order status my friend noticed his order was cancelled. When he called to find out why they said the phone he ordered did not have the proper data plan associated with it. I tried again tonight to order the Centro with a Power Vision plan, but again it only brings up the standard Vision plan and if you start with plans first and select the Power Vision plans it still continues to bring up the 2 Blackberries.

Anyone else experience this issue?

I appologize if this has been discussed already, but I did some searching and was not able to find anything about the topic.

Go back to the site, get the phone number and call to order.

Dahling... SEROs come with UNLIMITED DATA (Vision Access). POWER VISION is in layman's terms, high-speed internet connection much like Broadband for your computer. Most newer model devices now come equipped or PV compatible. If you chose a device (which is unlikely, cause most are now PV compatible or PV Devices) not PV Compatible, you still get the UNLTD Data but not necessarily PV Vision, just the regular data or web access, not the Hi-speed (EVDO) or broadband. So, if your friend chose a PV capable device, which it would say on the features of the device, then he gets UNLTD PV... I'd stay away from the BBs or Blackberries for the simple reason, If I were to, I'd still have to sign up for the Blackberry services of $49.99/a month or in Sprint's case, the least Blackberry connection is $39.99/mo separate. That would defeat the purpose of the SEROs savings if I were to add $39.99 just to enjoy the Blackberries... I have no use for it whatsoever... Power Vision is more than I need but still in all, if you purchase a Power Vision capable device, you get to enjoy Power Vision as well. As for the bundled PV's, depending on what your friend needs, you could add Premium Power Vision Access anywhere from $20 and up... See the pricings online and what features you could access from the Premium PV Add-ons (Navigation, Premium TV Channels, anything that are not included in the basic Power Vision bundle.)
The Palm Centro happens to be PV compatible. You would know a device is PV compatible by reading the specs on it.

There is also a thread on it on the site under Power Vision/TV that I started, so you could check it out as well.... Good Luck and thanks for referring your friend. I hope you both enjoy your Sprint, your SERO, his SERO and our SU site. Should you have any other questions, feel free to PM... :welcome: LRB

What happens if you signed up SERO with a Vision phone (Katana II) and then later want to upgrade to a Power Vision phone? Will there be a problem getting the PV at that time?

Actually, I had a SERO plan and had gotten a Power Vision phone afterwards...I was forced to change my plan away from a SERO plan.

No - when you get your new phone, they change the vision plan under SERO. It can make your bill look funny, though, so look at it. I had 2 Sanyo 200 on 2 lines. When I upgraded them, at separate times, they changed my SERO plans to include PV. Your phone determines what type of vision shows up on your SERO. You should NOT lose SERO over the phone upgrade.

I'm on Ensemble and that bill type does not indicate Vision at all. This is what it looks like, just like others have shown:

SERO F&F 500- $30.0
Plan Features:
Sprint Fair & Flex
Caller ID
Adjustable Anytime Minutes
Call Waiting
Three-way Calling
$30.00 Minimum Monthly Charge
Voicemail
Nationwide Long Distance Included
Unlimited Night & Weekend Mins. Included
Nights: M-Th 7PM-7AM Wknd: F 7PM-M 7AM
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile (pcs to Pcs)

I take it there should not be an issue in the Ensemble system?

i was wondering the same thing as the above post since i checked my mom's sero plan and it didn't indicate that any vision plan was on there.

I can't check what my SERO plan shows right now because I am in migration. :ohcrap::ohcrap:Under the SERO threads there is a specific thread that talks about how to tell what you have on SERO plan - within the last 30 days I believe. One thing that is always strange is how the plan never actually shows that unlimited text is included except when you look at current useage. I know I have unlimited PV on all the phones but I do not remember if it actually is listed under the plan description. It may be like the texting plan.:thought:

When I referred to a "funny" bill, what I meant is they pro rated my service between the 2 visions. It still added up to the correct monthly amount when it was added. I was confused and asked about why it was broken out that way and the explanation was I changed vision plans from vision to power vision. I changed phones in the middle of my billing cycle. Hope this helps.
