View Full Version : Sprint doesn't have the software for the Q's????????

So, we got our new Q's today at work.

We wanted to take our old phones' contact data and have it transferred to the Q. Seems fairly simple, right?

NO! The tech said that it wouldn't work because they don't have the new software for the q9c's to program/transfer contacts yet. :icon_smil

Are you frikkin' kidding me? So, Sprint, you will sell the phone but you won't support it? Most ridiculous crap EVER!

:eyeroll:

I guess my question would be, how do you lure the potential customer to switch to your service/new phone if you can't do something as simple as transfer that potential customers contacts over?

just sync the old q with your pc and outlook, and plug the new q in and it will sync the contacts from outlook...

Oh yeah, we're on an Exchange server. The problem was that those contacts were not in our outlook, nor were they in a phone that was able to be synced to Exchange.

We just ended up putting the contacts in Outlook.

My point was that Sprint doesn't have software for their own phones to transfer contacts. What if I didn't use outlook? know what I mean? :)

yea unfortunatly when new devices come out if they arent compatable it can take some time for them to recieve the hard/software to make it compatable yea its bad but its sometimes how things go

and they typically assume (as MSFT does) that most everyone that buys this device has all of their contacts in Outlook already.

Bro just chill ..

The CelleBrite machines have to be updated when the software is released ..

Be patient ..

It was the same thing with the Lg Rumors when they first came out ..

Hum. I purchased a Q9c last week and they were able to transfer my contacts from my Q to the Q9c in about 5 minutes.

No need for me to chill....already there.

I'm not screaming and jumping up and down at a rep about it...I just thought it was a little ridiculous. Thought I'd see if anyone else had a similar experience. Looks like it's common practice (which doesn't surprise me), so question answered. :headbang2

I transferred contacts from a Sanyo SCP-8400 to the Q9c via Bluetooth in seconds.

If I'd have had that option with my ancient nextel phone, I would've done that ;)

Go back and tell them to use the Q software... Works like a charm...
