I feel like I am able to type faster with the old Q keyboard as opposed to the new Q9c. Does anyone agree?

Sorry, I am going to have to disagree. I like the Q9c's keyboard better. Wait a while and you'll find yourself typing faster on it.

I agree.. I like the old Q keyboard better. There is a little more space between the keys and I feel like it had a better tactile response.

I actually find the new Q9c keyboard MUCH better. First the special symbols are easier to read so I am not constantly pausing to look for the symbol. Also, I didn't realize it was a common problem for the old Q but it could not keep up with my typing...letters were often skipped. I don't have that problem on the new Q9c. AND, the lighted keyboard is very nice...although a bit quirky since I cannot figure out when it comes on or not...I think it just "times out" while waiting for my pauses while thinking about what I should type.
