I'm sure this has been answered before, but if not:

Is there any software or programs out there like Slingmedia or Orb that allow you to stream pc content to phone, or possibly live TV like sling?

Orb is ok, but I Find the screen to be very small ( i can't switch to landscape) and quality of videos to be lack luster.

I've seen firsthand slingmedia, but it only works on PDA type devices, I have an M1. Not to mention it cost!

Any and all help would be most appreciated!

Thanks for any help! :headbang2

If you try ORB on your M1, press the * button three times to change the viewing option to landscape without icons. You'll be able to watch it on the flip with the phone closed too.

Streaming is ALWAYS going to be pretty lossy in quality. First, because it's streaming, and second because phones can only stream at a specific data rate (and it's a pretty low one). ORB is the easiest & most cost-effective way to stream video/audio to your phone. If you feel like having total control, and are willing to put a lot of elbow grease into it, you can looking into Darwin Streaming Server.

i also will suggest orb, its quite effective and you can even share pics and music as well as movies, along with that it runs a quick data test to find the most optimized streaming quality for your devices bandwidth to keep buffering and jittering at a minimum, on the m1 it was quite nice quality my only complaint was the m1 got warm after about 10-15 minutes due to the constant streaming and data transfer

Orb is probably the best. TO get best qulaity make sure the you have fast upoload speed at your home and fast DL speeds on you phone.

I can't use Orb with a Mac, so I'm looking for an alternate too. It seems there's a lot about Orb that's limited.

You can try doing a setup with Darwin Streaming Server. There's more about it here:
