I just noticed something different about using the contact list on the Q9c compared to the Q. Before if I wanted to make a call, from the home screen I could start typing in someone's name and thier contact information would come up. There would be an icon next to thier name, (m,h, txt etc.). To the left of thier name would be a contacts icon which meant I could select between m, h, txt ect. Now if that person has called me or I have called them, the contacts icon does not come up anymore. I have to go into contacts to get all thier phone numbers. Not sure if this makes sense to everyone but I was womndering if anyone else is having the same issue. Not a huge deal, but it is a bit annoying. :indiff:

I sort of understand what you mean...only one number shows up for each contact (whether it's a mobile, or home or whatever), and you have to click on that person to goto the contacts card and choose what number you want to dial (if it was not already shown before; ie, home vs mobile). However, it doesn't seem that big of a deal to me...usually if they called me from a mobile for example, I usually want to call them on their mobile.

I didn't know clicking on the person would bring up the contact card. That helps quite a bit. Thanks. I was going back to the home screen, clicking contacts, retyping the name, and then clycling through.

Yes, awesome tip indeed.
On another note, when composing new texts or emails you can start typing any part of any contact's name, and it will popup a live-filtering list of the contacts that match your criteria. then just scroll to the one you want and hit select. VERY cool feature, not on the original Q.

That's my whole point. If I have received a call or called a contact, I can no longer press right to scroll.

I'm not sure what you are talking about.....my sister just called me and I could start typing her name on the home screen and press the right directional key (left too) to scroll through her different numbers, etc.

I don't think you seem to understand that everything you say you are doing, I can't. That again, is my point. I am wondering if anyone else is experiancing this or if it just me. Thabk you for letting me know again that it works for you. That helps me quite a bit.

I can confirm that it works also. Just type the name of the person, it might give you one or two entries of that person, depending on if you have called or missed one of their calls before. After that, select the entry, and just press right/left button on the keypad, and you'll start seeing the different numbers initial come up. M - mobil, H - home, TXT - text. The person needs to have more than one number for you to scroll, and I think you would've had to text them before the TXT option comes up. I say this because I can only see the TXT for some of my contacts.

Sync your data and do a hard reset before you think of returning?
Just a thought.
