View Full Version : Pats 12-0 will they?
I think they better be "up" for this game.as the season continues each team they play will play them real hard.Nothing is a given. The Eagles showed that.

I don't know if it's going to be the close game everyone is thinking it's going to be.....look at what happened a couple weeks ago. Everyone said the Bills were going to play them REALLY hard...and it was going to be very close.....what was it, 42-7 at halftime?? When you put Brady and Moss together, there's really no stopping that.....so unless one of them gets hurt tonight......it's going to be more of the same. Last week was a fluke......

I guess I am a "lame" Pats fan and I've always said that anything can happen with any team on any given day.A playoff game between the Pats and Colts would be an awesome game to watch.Although I want the Pats to win,I refuse to take an arrogant attitude about them because it hurts when you wind up getting your nose rubbed in it!!!
Go Pats!!!!!!!

I'd like to see the Pats in the superbowl, hopefully against the Cowboys. I'm a Cowboys fan, and I'd like to see them get a little payback(hopefully) for their loss during the season. Don't know if that will happen though, given how good the Pats are this year.

lol the pats are going 16-0 and will win the superbowl. They're team is one of the GREATEST the nfl has ever seen. They will make history mark my words.

that would be great but right now I will settle for one game at a time.just remember, there are(including tonight)five games left that the opponents would like the bragging rights of spoiling an undefeated season!!!
I'll "wait til the fat lady sings"before I light my cigar.

I'm not a hometown team Ravens fan, but I sure was looking for the upset last night. There were so questionable calls and some bad luck, but damn... Those Ravens could have done it!
For the record: The Pats TD was indeed a TD. Its called a fingertip catch and it happens all the time. It was strictly a good catch - too bad for the Ravens. (just think if it was your team going for the win, or the same play during the first half.... )
That was an interesting game aren't they playing the Steelers soon?

Does anyone else feel like the Patriots got tired of just wailing on people and just started to let the games get close?
It just seems like the Patriots are so good... they can keep the game close, even set it up so they're losing in the 4th quarter... and then just come back and win?
The Ravens game was a bit different, but I wouldn't put it past the Patriots to keep it close just to keep themselves mentally sharp.

I am a big Pats fan but if they are that arrogant that they think they can control a game that way and they don't play to the best of their ability, then they don't deserve to win!

i didn't mean like... not playing to the best of their ability... but rather, playing it like practice?
for example (and i know this is a bad example), when I play like madden... there are plays that I *know* i can go to and do well with. So, if I wanted to dominate, I could just play those plays all the time. But it limits my playbook and it's not as much fun. So, sometimes I'll purposefully not play those plays and try to "open up" the playbook and see what else is out there, and what might work.
i mean, we all know that bellichick is huge on stats, film, info, etc. would it be so wrong for him to pick plays, so he can analyze defenses later on film to figure out how they were reacting, rather than just trying to score all the time?
knowledge is power and if he can get more info on another team by trying different things and still win... why not?
makes sense to me,but if they get into another situation like they did with the Eagles and the Ravens they better use the plays they"know" they can score with.I think the Steelers/Pats will be a real nail biter.I a shudder to think about people that will bet real hard earned money on that game!!
Hey NONAME--go PATS!!!!

Was it the Dolphins that went unbeaten? Were they the only NFL team to ever do so?:)
NONAME-I've been looking at your avatar pic for so long that the only consolation I would have if the Steelers beat the Pats is that a very longtime SU members' beloved team won.
LOL-but don't take the money to the bank yet!!!!!

Bah, the Steelers beat the Pats, and Miami will win a game.
so
Pats: 15-1
Miami: 1-15
Still pretty good.

Dolphins 17-0
Wow! Fortunes change 17-0 (around 30 years ago?) to maybe 0-16 this year.

I think it's funny that a no name Steeler (Anthony Smith) is guaranteeing a victory against the Pats. He said he's always been a winner but he played college football at Syracuse and this is only his second year with the Steelers. lol Polamalu is doubtful so that will hurt the Steelers but if the game is close I doubt the Steelers choke like the Eagles and Ravens did.
