My apologies for posting Power vision post in the wrong forum! Feel free to switch it if necessary. Thanks for understanding.

Hello,

i am a SERO user and have a question about vision access. Does it use airtime (i.e. anytime minutes) to use the Web service on your phone? I am not tethering, just using Vision/power vision directly from the phone.

The reason why I am asking is, I got a 10% discount added to my plan this month and for some reason Sprint can't display my anytime minute usage in the account because of the plan change. According to customer service, I used 731 minutes, which is way over the 500--even the pro-rated rate. I was so careful this month to not even remotely come close to going over my minutes so the Powervision is the only thing that I can think of that is causing the excessive airtime usage.

My next question: If it's true that the Powervision is what ate up my minutes, bencause this is the first time and I didn't know, is there any chance that the Billing Dept. will cut me some sort of a break on my next bill?

Thanks for your help.

Power vision doesn't use your minutes. I don't know what happened to your minutes. By the way, don't mention to any reps that you have a discount on Sero. You're not supposed to have one.

Thanks for the advice. So, have people experienced Sprint adding up minutes incorrectly? I was assured by the rep that any errors when my bill comes will be credited to my account.

I've never had that happen to me, but I've only been with them for 7 months. The rep. might have made a mistake and told you the wrong number, or you could've actually went over, or it could be a mistake made by Sprint. I wouldn't be surprised if sprint messed up.

Is it possible the rep gave you the total usage (AT+M2M+N/W) rather than just the AT minutes?

A pleasant thought :) I asked him/her to confirm and a 2nd Rep from e-care confirmed the usage. It just can't be right.

if any of the minutes are roaming minutes that could be why it can take up to 1-2 billing cycles for roaming airtime to appear on a bill
