I started using this service to push my Gmail. You do not need to proxy your outgoing mail either. Its free and its in beta. I just hope it lasts and stays free because I cancelled my five dollar a month Mail2Web service!

You decide if you want your phone to go looking for your mail or if you want your mail to come looking for your phone. If its the latter, you need push mail.

Why does everyone think mail2web is not free? When you goto the main site, click free services, and mail2web live is clearly listed there. I was using it for free until I decided 1and1's hosted service was a better fit for me.

I'm not so sure what you mean by the looks of it. I could find no indication of what version they use. Could you explain what makes you think this?

mail2web is not free! In fact they just raised their rates. I was paying $4.95 for the ability to proxy my outgoing mail to my gmail account.

well usually with 2007 theres a mention of html email, one of the key features/selling points of exchange on 2007. if its 2003, i already have mail2web which is free as is.
i dunno how much i trust some no name up and comer with sensitive email or to host a reliable server. i know mail2web is tried and true.

Well, hmm. Mail2web live is very free, always has been. My account is still active even though I don't use it, and I don't pay a dime. You apparently are concerned with email looking like it came from your gmail account. Me, I don't care so much about that, very hardly see a need for that.
Whats interesting here, is your lack to pay a measly 4.95 for a service that's useful to you. Sure, mobipush or whatever it's called does it for free... but how long will that last? Certainly it's reasonable to expect they have to find some way to monetize their product, or how will they afford to keep it going? Have you looked at what it cost to get the needed licenses for exchange? It can get into the 10's of thousands pretty quickly.
I agree with klmsu19, I'd hardly trust my email/contacts/etc to some no-name that I have no real idea about who they are, how trustworthy they are, or how long they'll last.
I do know one thing though, have fun while it last for free. Cause honestly, there is no way they can keep that up. I know you're the one that posted about mail2web raising their prices.... wait till you find out what mobiwhatever charges.
