So I went to the sprint store while out running errands yesterday to check when my line was out of contract (currently under my dad's family plan) so I can get SERO and let my dad save some money (been paying for me for like 6 years now). I'm out of contract now, even though I got a new phone last year from Best Buy (paid upgrade cost), apparently they didn't put in that I bought it so I got a free upgrade without re-upping (sweet).
So the guy I'm talking to asks if I'm staying with Sprint and I explain that I'm gonna go get a SERO plan online with a Mogul. He then tells me that not only will he sign me up in store for SERO, but he'll give me the mail in rebate as an instant rebate.
I didn't have time to go through signing up yesterday, but I'll definitely be going back to him and ordering. He gave me his card and said if anyone asks, we know each other from NCSU (college I go to).

Make sure it's the real SERO plan! You can find more in the other HUGE SERO thread. Sounds like you got a GREAT salesguy.

I'm not sure what you mean? You mean the 500 minutes + unlimited data for 30/month right?
Is there another SERO I'm not aware of? I've read through the threads. But it does sound like I found myself a great sales guy though. I plan on going back next week to sign up.

Just make sure the unlimited stuff doesn't have an expiration date. Thats what is different from the sero and the real sero.

You should ask him if he wants to hook any other people up from this site. I dont know if he can hook people up from other states, but you never know. could up his sales count. See if you can keep your old number.

He told me he couldn't transfer my number over because SERO is for new Sprint customers only. My brother and girlfriend plan on getting SERO as well so I'll see how he handles me bringing in people then ask about others.

UPDATE!
Got my Mogul and SERO plan yesterday, it is the real SERO with unlimited data/text. 500 min/$30 month.
It was pretty painless, walked in, told him I was ready to sign up, he took my info, did his thing on the computer, handed him my money and was on my way.
He didn't want to start signing people up all over the place but was willing to sign up people that came in the store, haha.

if he put in the REAL sero code himself, he'll get in trouble. what i really think he's doing is activating you like a normal person, to get the activation credit, then calling in and saying you're his friend and manually switching you over.
whatever it takes to make a dollar right?

I just logged into my account online and it says I'm under fair and flexible for $30/month. but i have unlimited vision services and all the SERO options. Well, minus texting which I'm contacting him to get sorted out since he said it should be there.
This may end up better for me as I could apply for more discounts as I'm under a normal plan?

Yea under your "Current Usage" it should say the number of texts you "Used" and then "Remaining: Unlimited"

A little update:
I got my texting added without issue through CS. CS also applied a 50 dollar service credit for me (save50). I also got a 25% discount monthly for my school/work. I also emailed ecare about a 50 dollar credit and they emailed to confirm they added it.
I'm happy, haha.

I work part time in one of the departments at NCSU so I found out NCSU employees get a discount and followed the steps to get it. It was really simple.
