Hey folks I just got off the phone with a Ebay dealer and he got me a Pearl and a touch for only $99 . He told me that you can get this on a new line of service or you can upgrade your current line.

from what i heard, you can not change your plan for like 6 months or must have a 59.99 plan or higher or else they can fine you. Just make sure you read all the fine print

i thought about doing that for the pearl 2. quick question though, when they say upgrade your current line, doesn't mean you have to extend your contract? and if so, for how long?

yes upgrading your current line would require you to sign up for a 2 year contract. most ebay sellers states you must be eligable for the 150 saving to be approved

I've ordered 3 phones from them and everything went fine.
1st time - I already had an account with sprint, but i wanted to transfer my Verizon # over. They activated that new line as the primary line on a new FamilyShare and then added the existing line to it. They gave me a Treo 700wx for $99.99 billed to my account.
2nd time - I ordered a Q for my brother. Some of those ads say 'w. $59.99 rate plan or higher for the first 30 days', but the guy added it to my FamilyShare plan. I got a Motorola Q for free.
3rd time - I ordered a Motorola KRZR. Again, they added it right to my FamilyShare plan. I got a KRZR for free.
Every time I've ordered from them, it's been great. I've never been charged an Activation Fee. Ask them all the T&C while you have them on the phone. How long before you can ESN swap, change rate plan, features. Just so you know not to do it before their vesting period. Because if they get a chargeback on their commission, you lose your discounts on that great deal.
On another note, I just called them this morning to order another line. The guy told me he could help me because I was on Ensemble. They dont have access to the new billing system, and he doesnt know if/when he will. I dont know what that's about.

Since the OP hasn't replied I did some research on my own. Go to ebay and select cellphones, then select sprint as provider. In the search box enter upgrade and search. It will show a couple of sellers whose price is available for upgrades. I believe one is freehotphones

We used ebay once...worked out really well when we wanted to add a new line of service. Got my phone quickly and was told upfront how long I had to have it at a certain plan to get the phone free...then I was able to add it to our family plan and it was all good. Definitely a good way to go...you can usually get a better deal on the phone you want that way.

Depends on the phones you want.. but right now you can get Blackberry Pearls for $149 - $149 rebate, Centro for $49/free after rebate, Touch for $249/free after rebate, Moto Q9c for $149/$49 after rebate, Razr2 for $99/free after rebate... The only kicker is it requires the PV Ultimate Pack ($25/month) for the extra $100 rebates.
Pretty easy, don't have to deal with anyone from eBay. Don't think I can advertise the site here though? Can PM for me links though.

So, let's suppose one wanted to switch over to the SERO plan at this point. Does anyone know if, when you upgrade and buy out your leftover year, you'll be able to change over to the SERO plan at the same time?
