I am currently with Sprint under my dads family plan. I graduate from school in May and have volunteered to get off the plan then (he's been footing my cell bill for 6 years now, time to pay my own). After tons of searching I've gone from wanting to get away from sprint, to sticking with it for the SERO plan (can't beat features/price).

My line is up in march or april next year so I was planning on getting a SERO plan then, but it says free texting ends 12/31 and I really want that for free. I was thinking of just getting my SERO (touch or mogul) at the beginning of dec since I have to get a new number anyways.

My question is, how likely is the free texting to be extended? While I'm tempted to get myself a new toy sooner, if I can avoid more bills right now that'd be cool too. I really don't want to miss out on free texting or deal with getting it for free through retentions.

Well, this is the 4th time they have extended the free texting so I expect they will do so again.

You sh0uld call up Sprint and explain them y0ur situati0n perhaps they can cut y0u a deal, considering the fact that you being a customer for about 6 years. Call them up and see whats up.

Yeah, I'm going to tell my dad about SERO and see if he wants to do it or anything. Should be fun...
