Also post your score prediction and why. :)

Ohio State wins 34 - 17. :D Boeckman will pick apart Michigan's week secondary and Chris Wells has another big game. Ohio States defense shows up and they get a interception for a td.

I almost forgot what Mike Hart said after Michigan lost last year against the Buckeyes. :hee: He said he was coming back to "beat the Buckeyes". He likes to run his mouth more than he runs the football. For a guy that has never beaten Ohio State or bowl opponent for that matter, you'd think the chirping would be at a minimum.

Michigan by a touchdown.
Hart and Henne will play their best games in the Big House. The ground attack will be most of Michigan's offense, but Manningham will have a few key receptions and will have a TD.
The game will be similar to the 2003 one.

I don't think Henne and Hart played a full game together this year or have they?

Appalachan State, Oregon, most of Purdue.

Michigan; Why? Because I was freakin born here!!!! I don't really care who wins but I can't root for another state against MI.

Michigan seems like a tougher team to me all around. They have some weaknesses but I think they can pull it together for the win.

yeah and in 2/3 of those games that combo was unstoppable!!!

Lord Carr is handed his pink slip immediately following the game

Tressel and his damn sweater win the big ten

Well Hart was unstoppable, with almost 200 yards in each game.
With Henne, though, I'm not so sure...

I'm just surprised Ohio State has a chance to win the Big Ten Tittle considering all the players they lost to the NFL last year.

I hope that the officiating doesn't blow any calls because I don't want to here Carr cry about it.

Boeckman has to play smart and not force plays. Hopefully Ohio States defense puts a few good hits on Henne early in the game.

I believe Michigan will win this one. The Michigan players (Henne, Hart, Long...) came back to beat the buckeyes and win a bowl game. Both teams lost last week, but Michigan can learn more form the buckeye loss (i.e. OSU's best team was on the field, while in Michigan's loss, Hart and Henne weren't playing).

As for Carr being fired.... just not going to happen. OSU could beat Michigan 72-0 and Carr would still have his job. Michigan doesn't can a coach for a bad game/season. That being said, I believe this will be Carr's last home game. I believe he will retire (he set both his contract and his assistant's contracts up so that they get paid even if they are not coaching next year). With that in mind it will give the players that much more to play for... Carr is 6-6 vs OSU. Win one more and he can go out on a victory and victorious record.

Carr is 4-4 against Ohio State when the Buckeyes are in the top 10. He's 3-1 in such games at Michigan Stadium and 17-8 overall against the top 10 in his career

Ohio State became the Number 1 team in the nation after beating some hard teams to start out the season...
Akron...
Youngstown...
Washington...
Northwestern...
Minnesota.

Now Michigan started against App. State (no comment on that loss) and Oregon, a top 5 team. Now they weren't ranked when Michigan played them but still. It makes the loss a bit more justifiable.

I think Oregon could beat anyone in the country right now.

I compared how many points each teams defense gave up in 6 Big Ten games.
Ohio State 100 points
Michigan 134

App St and E.Michigan scored 20 to 30 points on Michigan so I think Ohio State will do better than that.

I'm sure Tressel has made adjustments after last weeks loss. That would be awesome if Ohio State did beat Michigan 72-0 (to see if Carr got fired). My Cleavland Indians got Torre to Quit. lol

A night game at Washington early in the season wasn't a easy game by any means. Washington has a hard schedule and they didn't get thumped by Oregon like Michigan did.

The only reason App State won the IAA Championship 2 years in a row is because of their offense.

The only time Michigan gave up as much as OSU did against Indiana was in losses to spread offenses with more than just Mendenhall as an offense.

Last time I checked 1 bad game in 2 years is pretty good. Troy Smith winning the heisman, Tedd Ginn jr running opening kick off back for a td then out for the game and the 50 day break didn't help. I doubt it would've been a game with Wisconsin or Michigan.'

last year badgers 11-1

beat the Arkansas (#2 team in the SEC behind Florida) in their bowl game

as much as i hate to admit it i was cheering for 'the' Ohio State in that game, but Florida (#1 team in the SEC) just bent 'the' Ohio State over and took all their liberties during that game

face it...that game 'the' Ohio State looked horrible, the scout team for Northern Illinois would have looked better than they did....

Tressel has guided the Buckeyes to an overall record of 62-14, six bowl appearances, including four BCS games, four 10-win seasons, three Big Ten titles and one national championship. Four of Tressel’s teams have finished their seasons in the top five in the national polls, including the 2006 team which posted a 12-1 record and finished second. He is 4-2 in bowl games and has a 3-1 record in BCS games. On two separate occasions Tressel’s teams have recorded 19-consecutive victories. He is 5-1 against Michigan in one of the most storied rivalries in college football.

Even with those impressive stats I think it's funny that since the Buckeyes got there @ss kicked one game people think they suck. It was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Buckeyes this year. Know one picked them to win the Big Ten Championship but once again they have a shot. I don't know why there are so many Ohio State haters but I guess it's because they win a lot.
With a win against Michigan tomorrow, Ohio State (10-1, 6-1 Big Ten) would:- match its longest winning streak in the rivalry at four straight.
- win a third straight conference championships, including consecutive outright titles for the first time in a half-century.
- likely earn a spot in the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1997.

With that in mind it will give the players that much more to play for...I thought last year with the passing of Bo Schembechler would give the Michigan players that much more to play for but it didn't so I doubt Carr's pregame retirement speech will either.

I found what exactly Hart said after the Ohio State Michigan game last year "I guarantee if we play, it would be a whole different game," Michigan running back Mike Hart (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=160897) said. "We should have got them the first time around. We didn't. If it doesn't happen, that's our fault."

If Boeckman plays smart and Chris Wells has a decent running game then Ohio State should win.

i voted for 'the' ohio state to win, and have said from the begining of the year they will probably take the big ten too. i just feel they were over-rated, and not to mention your quote that said michigan/wisconsin would have done worse than the garbage displayed at the national championship last year is a perfect example of people thinking they are head and shoulders above anybody else...

GO BUCKEYES! Beanie carried the offense on his shoulders to victory. Props go to Gholston for just bulldozing over UM's O-line as well.

I want to feel sorry for Hart who ran his mouth all 4 years that he fell in defeat to the Buckeyes, but I can't. He never gave the Buckeyes credit and he probably never will. I will admit though he is a phenomenal player, he was just in a crappy situation. The Buckeyes did a good job shut him down today.

I don't think anyone can argue that Michigan defeated themselves this game. The playcalling was atrocious (1st down Hart runs left, 2nd down Hart runs left, 3rd down Henne throws an incompletion, 4th down punt. rinse repeat). Mario dropped what, like 6 textbook passes? I think they had under 100 yards of total offense.

OSU didn't play that well today either, but Tresselball took over after the two touchdowns and it was enough to come out with a victory. I'll take it.

Keep it classy in Ann Arbor Michigan fans. GO BUCKS, O-H!

When was the last time your team has even had the opportunity to play for a National Championship? Since Tressel has come to Ohio State for the most part Ohio State has been a superior then any other Big Ten team and that was my point.

GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Wells ran over Michigan's defense and racked up a career high 222 yards rushing. Mike Hart said this game would be different but he only had 42 yards and he should shut his mouth. Hart and Henne never beat OSU in four years and your right flip Hart will never give the Buckeyes any credit but he will give App St. credit. I can't wait for Michigan players/fan excuses. Ohio State takes down Michigan for sixth time in seven years.:):D:cup::bday1:

Congrats Buckeyes.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to watch or listen to the game, so I can't comment beyond what the sports analysts already have said. Without Henne/Manningham getting it together, OSU's defense had the confidence to stuff Hart. Without a respectable Pass threat, you can't just run the ball.

My honest opinion... Henne was still to hurt to be effective, and after that much time off he just wasn't ready for a real defense.

Now for the smack talk:

Winning 6 times in 7 years is nice, but lets not forget: Michigan leads the series all time 57-41-6, Michigan's longest winning streak in the rivalry is nine games, Michigan also went without a loss in 15 games (13 wins and two ties), Ohio State's longest winning streak is four games, Michigan's largest victory margin is 86-0, Ohio State's largest victory margin is 38-0, Michigan has been shut out in 11 games in the rivalry, Ohio State has been shut out in the rivalry 26 times.

So again.... thats nice about the 6 wins in 7 years. Lets put that on a poster. We won't even go into program vs program (National Championships? Big Ten Championships? Wins? Win Percentage? Winning Seasons? Undefeated Seasons? Lets just not go there).

:)

(God I love College Football, and God I Love Michigan Vs OSU)

One more thing.. How many dropped catches did Manningham/Michigan have? Henne might have still been hurt causing his passes to be off but I've always thought if you touch the ball you should catch it no matter what which Michigan didn't do.

Ohio State will have majority of there team back next year so they should be better. I think it will take Michigan's new coach a few years to get the program back up.

Manningham dropped at least 6.
Arrington dropped a few.
Obviously Henne's bad shoulder caused him to throw harder.

It was plenty cold, but it wasn't raining too much and there was little to no wind. Most of the thrown balls were catchable.
