they are 4-4 right now, and 0-4 in the WCHA

as far as hockey goes the WCHA is a VERY competitive conference. 4 losses in the WCHA dont spell disaster for those gophers. losses to CC and Denver are nothing to be ashamed of. If it was to Robert Morris and Holy Cross there might be concern.

side note: ever see a gopher hole after a badger is done with it? :hee:

if you are proud that your mascot is a nut....there is actually a buckeye tree on campus here, and every time ohio state comes here your crazy fans worship the darn thing :rolleyes:

lets see how good your gophers are without wonderboy kessel (nice to see he is doing good in the NHL though, inspiring story). If he would have come to wisconsin like he originally agreed, to the skille-kessel duo would have been fun to watch :rolleyes:

god! ever sinc eI moved out here to nevada from MN I forgot about college hockey. Growing up playing the game Squirts->High school and one year at st cloud state I should be more intune to it!!!!

you know they got senior leagues around here that I thought of playin in but i don't think that is the sfaest thing for me to do until my insurance kicks in! I went down to a couple games and got the old pink christian stick out and retaped and covered it in SEXWAX and gave it a go. The shot is still there but I think that once I put the skates on it could be very dangerous! I haven't skated since 99. This could be interesting!!!!

All I have to say is that the USCHO poll November 26, 2007 is wacked!
1. Miami - Ohhh, Notre Dame was ranked #1 last year and didn't make it past a WCHA team!
2 Michigan - Fair Call
3 Denver - Should be number 1
4 Colorado - Should be number 2
5 Michigan State
6 New Hampshire
7 Notre Dame
8 North Dakota
9 Clarkson
10 St. Cloud State

It's to bad the coached polls do not take into consideration that the WCHA is the toughest leauge and they spend their entire season beating each other up to get points!

Sweep sweep sweep...badgers took care of those annoying huskies this weekend. Kohl center was empty last night due to the weather, but it was a great game.

Miami has got a couple tough series coming up (Michigan, Ohio State), but a bunch of butter-ball games.

But 4 WCHA teams in the top 10 is good to see...especially with Wisconsin, Minnesota and Minnesota-Duluth all within the top 15.
