On my Sanyo 8400, there is an icon at the top that looks like on little arrow pointing up, and one pointing down. The icon glossary says it means Vision/R-Link. I don't have Ready Link, but I do have Power Vision Plus Pack.

I went to Phoenix the other day, and the icon changed to three tiny arrowheads pointing up, and three pointing down. The icon glossary says this means Power Vision. The Sprint TV and other Power Vision items worked better than ever -- no chop or delay at all.

Even though the Power Vision items like Sprint TV, etc work in my small town, they are choppy and slow.

Does this mean I've been paying for Power Vision but getting something else? Can I find out if Power Vision is or isn't available in the 86314 zip code? I really liked the quality of transmission and speed in Phoenix!

You have been paying for powervision and have been getting regular vision speed.

hink of it like this, your phone CAN do dsl speeds, but in your area is limited to only dial-up.

You really can't do anything, there is no lower package..just hope EVDO comes to your area (the 3 arrows pointing up and the 3 arrows pointing down) because right now you are on the slwoer 3g network (one long arrow pointing up and one long arrow pointing down.)

Hope this answers your question.

:good: you can check the coverage on sprint.com click on coverage. when you get to the maps, go down a little and check the "Sprint Mobile Broadband Network" box, anything orange in your area is PV

Thanks for the super quick and informative response! I hope they do upgrade my local service. I really enjoyed the speed and clarity I got in Phoenix!
