I had a 900m but it went screwy on me, (constant rebooting). So the local sprint store had me wait a week to get a new 900m under warranty. After a week they figured out the only ordered me a 900m battery. told me to wait another week, i said that was unacceptable and i need a loaner or something he said no loaners. I called sprint and they said to have them call sprint and i would get a loaner. I went back in not 20 min later and said he needed to call sprint. He asked why, and i said cause they're gonna tell you to gimmie a loaner. He then went in the back and grabbed a phone that looks like mine but under the battery says a900 he swears it's a 900m. Says vision will take a couple hours before it works. i leave and then the vision worked a few hours later however i have the old blue and green arrows for vision and it's SLOW. I can get EVDO to work on this phone. Sprint says it shows up as a a900m but they cant explain y i cant access EVDO. Can anyone help me figure out if this POS is a 900 or a 900m? and possibly why i cant get evdo. Thanks -Will

well both the a900 and a900m are evdo to tell which you have, type ##786# scroll down
your see a S: and some letters/numbers
if its S: ES.A900M then you have your answer, if it doesnt say zj23, then run the software update and update your phone, who knows it may fix your issue
also scroll down and check your PRL, if its anything below 20227 then have your line flagged for a PRL update, that may also fix your issue
also try going to settings>power vision> update profile (if you havent already)
also try contacting tier 2 tech support they may be able to help you fix your issue

the PRL has to do with roaming, and evdo towers with evdo cell phones, some will disagree but it is a fact

Um, PRL stand for preffered roaming list, which yes, does deal with roaming, but it can generally help with service. Just call and talk to someone else.
