Hello. I'll try and break it down and be as brief as possible. I searched for this query, and the only answer given I tried, and it failed to work.
Recently (about the past month or so), I would sporadically get an error message when recieving a text message. It was something along the lines of "Message Rejected, not enough memory". I always knew when it happened, because on the exterior LCD, when I would get a message, it would say "New Message". When this error occured, I would just hear my new text ring, and the default screen displaying the time, signal strength, battery strength, etc would be displayed. I could then open the phone and see the error message. Through trial and error I ascertained that my phone would give this message if I used the internet and did not shut my phone off, and re-turn it on afterward. Well, I've since stopped using the internet on my phone altogether, and I still get this message, and it's more frequent.
Up until now. Now, I don't even get the error message at all. Both my in and outbox are empty, and when I have an incoming text, I get the ring, but no message, and no error message. I have no idea what's going on, but in my line of work, I can't always take calls and texts are my main form of outside communication. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or have any advice on my course of action?

i cant tell you the fix but what is happening is the is storage space that is full(i know you know that already). i have a gps app that swears its storage space is full even though nothing is saved there.so there must be a common storage space that needs to be purged.i know i did it before and if i figure it it then i will follow up if you dont find a fix.good luck.

No, but the problem didn't arise until I started using the internet on my phone. I have since stopped using the internet, but It could be that the history cache for the internet is clogging it up perhaps? Is there a way to purge browser history? How about a way to clear or otherwise reset the phone while saving contacts, pictures, and ringtones?

Alright. On a whim, I did a "Restore Default Settings". And when my phone turned back on, I got an influx of texts. While that may have fixed the problem, (Time will tell), I'm not sure what the problem actually was lol.

to clear browser history, start web, click the button that brings up the options(mine is the right soft key).scroll down to history and click the options key again(on mine looks like a white square with black lines, right soft key same as above)click delete all or erase on at a time.this does not erase bookmarks like a reset might.

Follow up. It's still doing it. Unless I empty my inbox/outbox every time they both hit about 6 messages, then turn my phone off, then back on, it'll reject the messages. It's a really annoying way to get my texts; has anyone else heard of; or know how to fix this problem?

I did a live support session with a sprint rep, and he basically had no idea what the problem was. He gave me the typical "Turn your phone off for 30 minutes or so, then turn it back on" but that doesn't fix anything.

Sure it does. It wastes 30 minutes. They tell you that to get you off of the phone. The last time one asked me to do it, I said "Hold on... We'll wait together." And they quickly started looking for other solutions.

Did you ever find another solution?

Yes. they found one. But I was not having the same problem you have. I was just warning you that they tell you that just to get off of the call. You spend 30 minutes in queue, 30 minutes staring at your phone doing NOTHING, then 30 additional minutes in queue again. Don't buy it - make them come up with something else or transfer you to a higher level of support.
