i work for the shack and got rid of my a500 for the 8100 the first day we got them in the store. Take every good thing you have heard about the 5300, shrink the phone to a reasonable size and cut the price in half. This is the 8100. The camera is the only difference, but this is more of a novelty for me anyway. The screen is better than the 5300 given it is active matrix--smaller but better. If you are looking for a great phone at a great price ($100) for new activations at RS get this phone.
The menus are first rate and the reception is as good as my m100 (uproar). Im also hoping to be able to download animated screensavers.
