Hey All,

I just wanted to get a sense of what some of you may do. Recently, I upgraded one of my lines that was out of contract. I got some really sweet perks from Retentions, as well as a good price on the phone.

I sent in my $50 Rebate, but when I checked the status online, it said I had to renew my contract for 1 or 2 years to be eligible.....seems Retentions forgot/failed/didn't bother to renew my contract for that line. Therefore, it still shows the out of contract date as of last year.

I'm interested in hearing what some of you would do? Renew the contract for the 50 bones, or keep the out of contract date to hopefully get some more perks? I've got about one week to decide before the $50 Rebate expires.

Stay out of contract.
You could use it to your advantage in the future.

Your actually asking do you want $50 to have to pay a $200 ETF should you decide your unhappy with them over the next two years.
I'd do everything to stay out of contract including paying full price for a new phone if needed.

I agree with the above posts that you should stay out of contract for as long as possible. It definitely makes a great bargaining chip in the future.

sometimes the online stuff is wrong. i would call *2 and check ur contract end date just to make sure. if u contract was extended, call retentions and complain about the problem and see if they will credit the 50 right to ur line instead of waiting on the rebate

Very good point!

Thanks to all for your POVs. Out of contract is where I'll stay.
