I just recently purchased an M1. For the most part I'm happy with it, but there are a couple of annoying little features. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could download applications for this phone?

In particular I was looking for:

Notepad - To jot down text notes
Carrier Logo Replacement - When you're talking on the phone, or playing a game, the outside of the phone displays the carrier logo. It would be nice if this displayed the time, instead.

Does anyone know where I could find either application?

Thanks in advance!

I found and have used each of these...However, the first two are my favorites...

A "note pad" of sorts JotPad:

Allows you to keep lists, sub folders, check items and re-sort JListManager:

This one allows for sub folders as well Jtasks:

Don't think its a do-able thing - as far as the carrier logo goes...maybe with something like QPST and some superior knowledge of the phone....

for notes, i find it helpful to send a text message to myself and lock the message or send it to my email address

When I need to text myself- I use a firefox add-on (formerly known as extensions) for a google send-to-phone.

If you don't know of it- its pretty nice because it allows you to highlight text and click the toolbar icon and you're good to go... Extremely useful for 'pre-planned' directions (i.e. if don't want google map while en route) & looked-up phone numbers.
You can also just click the icon by itself and format a quick text also.

You all heard of 1-800-FREE-411 ?

Instead of getting hit by sprint for a directory call charge, you listen to a few seconds of an ad and then get the info you ask for- no charge...

Google also has a similar service 800-goog-411 i believe.

Hey all,

Short version:
I wrote a dirt simple program that helps me create my "To Do" list items - specifically for the M1. The file is send manually via bluetooth. I'd like for few people to check it out and see how it works for them. I'm not planning to charge or try make any money from it.
It works excellent for me. PM me if you're interested.

Long version:
Why:
I wanted to be able to send "To Do" items to my M1 calender via bluetooth.
It was getting annoying modifying the vcs file from a text editor and sending it. Outlook doesn't let you send over "To Do" items. So I came up with this and thought there might be others that could use this.

What:
I wrote a program that you just enter the description, select date/time/category & priority - for a "To Do" item. It then allows writes all your info into an M1-ready ".vcs" file. From there you just send it via bluetooth (Most bluetooth dongles allow you to "Right-click" and "Send to" the bluetooth device).
1 of the BT devices I have sends it to the File Manager and I have to open it from there, the other BT device I have sends it directly to the calendar.

Its not something I'm trying to or planning on cashing in on- I just want to share something that has become extremely useful to me. You can even run it straight from a flashdrive.

If anyone is interested, PM me.
