   So for the past month I've been persistently trying to get rid of my moto q.......I really love the mogul and have been trying to find a way to not pay 550 bucks because i thought i upgraded 4 months ago........I was prepared to add a phone and then cut another one off in order to save...however i was bored and figured i'd check my upgrade elligibility..and ...I'm out of contract......hehehehe.....I went to a 3rd party retailer and got my Q for 200 back in april.....the girl wasnt paying attention......i signed a contract but it turns out it was never processed... :Popcorn2: :wavey: ..sooooooo.....I can either leave sprint.....hop over to tmobile or cingular....or buy the Mogul for 250 from wirefly......And to think I was upset because ecare is an a** to me....and I've spent most of this week on hold with customer service..about an 800 dollar bill and a crappy phone..hahaha....karma

Looks like you lucked out! I would cancel, port out and then port back in as a new customer! You could also try callin *2 and telling Claire you want to cancel and explain that it is part due to the billing issue and everything else.

Best of Luck!

Sprint knows the Q has problems, many here have had Sprint take their Q's back (after more than 30 days) and gotten them replaced/upgraded with Moguls. The price depends on the CSR you talk to, some people got a credit, some people paid money. Either way many people with a Q, got a Mogul for much less than the $500+ full retail price

Try going to sprintbuyback.com you can get extra account credit for your phone that you are no longer wanting once you get your new upgraded phone. That will help some with the cost as well. Doesn't work for all phones, but shouldn't be a problem with the moto q coz its still fairly new.

Well at least the OP seems to have a good sense of humor about it...

This is not true, I have been through 4 CSR's and no one will allow me to upgrade or even exchange my Q. I hate the phone so much, I have gone back to using my Motorola SLVR. I'm to the point where I'm going to sell the phone on ebay and wait for the new line up. As of now, there are no phones out there that are worth the money!!

The Motorola Q has been updated for Sprint with a new firmware update. The update, referred to as MOL3, is now available from Motorola Software Update. It is not known what has changed at this time.
