I need to know this. I did an ESN swap today....well kinda. I did not have the phone on me at the time, I just had wrote down the ESN. I wrote down the steps he told me to take. The ##number# and etc. I got home and tried this but nothing came on the screen, pressing talk just resulted in the phone trying to call the number. On my sprint page the phone is listed on there not the previous one. I am wanting to sell the phone I had taken off and I don't really need the currently listed phone to even work as I am about to cancel the account. With the phone showing up on my sprint account page and the old phone not having service, should the ESN now be clear for resale?

Once the new ESN was entered in, the "old" one should be released by sprint.

call sprint (or email) and ensure that the "old" ESN is now clear and available for activation on any account.
