I recently exchanged my Mogul for a new one within my 30 day window. The rep was fairly nice but said she had to charge my credit card the $549.99 so that they could ship the new unit out. I agreed and said go ahead. New mogul comes and there is a return kit with it. I've been busy for the past couple days and haven't been able to send it back . I have however looked at my Sprint bill and Visa statements online and see no charges for the new Mogul. Is this something that will come back and bite me in the near future if I wouldn't return the phone?

its yes and no, i was suppost to mail back a moto q to get my 700p i got, they never sent the return kit (after 3 requests) and i havent gotten billed 4 months later..
but if they took your CC# i would assume they are serious, in my case they didnt take a cc number

I was ready to give it to them, but they claimed they had it on file. Hmm...

well yes if you have ever made a payment using a CC or Check most companies keep thoes records on file so if they ever need to use it (say in the case of an unpaid bill or unpaid cancellation) thoes are the 2 main reasons i shuffle my CC numbers every few months, and never use checks,
use the return kit and return the mogul to sprint. The chances of sprint just forgetting about a phone are slim to none, and its not worth gettiung slammed for a $550 phone and have sprint refuse to take it back as they sent the return kit "months ago" when they figure it out.
not returning the phone and hoping to keep it is a good way to be out a ton of cash for no good reason.

It is amazing how many dishonest people are on this forum. I can't believe the number of threads and posts here asking if the can keep the phone they are suppose to return rather than send it back to Sprint, all hoping to hear that it is ok to so do. What happened to being a honest person and doing the right thing? Something for nothing seems to be acceptable for many!

if your referring to what i said.. i tried to get sprint to mail me a return kit 3 if not 4 times i forgot how many times i called requesting the return kit, every time i got the same answer, your return kit will be mailed you should receive it in X days (that answer was different every time)
i never got 1 of them and i know they didnt go to my old address because i kept in touch with my grandfather to be sure he didnt receive them either
after that i just gave up... and gave the q away

I'm sorry but I was not actually referring to you but to kounterfeit, who has not even bother to attempt to return his phone but had time to check his Sprint bill and credit card bill and didn't see a charge for the phone yet, so felt why not just keep it rather than do the right thing and return it.
If Sprint can't send you a return package after 4 calls and promises to, what can you do. You tried and they failed.

Just return the phone in the kit they gave and be done with it.
It's not worth the hassle of worrying if Sprint will catch up a few months down the road on a $549 Mogul that must have been defective since you were returning it...
just my $.02 :tu:
