The regular 1130 mAh 3.6 Lithium Ion Battery that came with my Q didn't seem all that good and most of us got the same battery free from Motorola. I just got a new regular battery BT60 1500 mAh 3.7 which is odd that it's different then the one before. It seems better but I guess it could also be becasue of the last update. I use my phone a lot (web/text/talk) and on a full charge the new Battery usually makes it untill I go to bed but somedays I throw it on a charge when I eat lunch just to be safe. I was going to get a extended battery sicne I got slingbox but I just prefer the thin design. The battery is a pain to get out.

I also received this battery from sprint after complaining about battery life. I think it is a better battery and lasts longer than the original.

Interesting. I didn't know Sprint was offering a replacement battery. I just sent my email to E-Care.

Did you call Sprint or Ecare them? What did you say. Just curious since you say it last longer then the original...

...just tired of 3/4 of a day of battery life

just went into the store after reading a thread here that the batteries in the box were probably old and a new battery would last longer. They gave me the bt60 and also told me to keep the other one. I bought a 3 in 1 charger and can charge the spare battery and the phone at the same time.

I was shot down the first time. The E-Care rep referred me to a Sprint store t have my phone tested. :irked:

I'll try again in a few days.

That's the battery I got with my phone when I bought it. The 1130mah is an old battery that just happens to fit. It originally went to the old motorola c290 phone that holds the record for having THE WORST battery life EVER!! I also have that battery that I got (for free) and the difference between the two batteries is night and day.

After reading this thread I bought a BT60 off of ebay. It will be here in about a week, but what I don't fully understand is this...the original is 1130 mah, tbakergobuck states that the bt60 is 1500 mah.

The guy I bought it off of states that the bt60 is 1000 mah, and an online store states that it is 1130 mah. Can anyone confirm what is actually true?

If by some chance it turns out to actually be 1500 mah, how could it possibly fit the phone without a new door?

1100 is the one the sprint store gave me. So don't know where 1500 comes from at all.

I called Moto today to complain about the S9 headset and decided to transfer over to Q customer service and ask about the battery. The rep told me that the only batter that is rated for the Q is model SN5783 (A or B). He said any other battery including the BT60 would not handle the power draw the Q requires and if the phone was damaged it would void the warranty.

If this is true and Sprint is giving these out then that could be a major issue. But I don't see why is should be a problem. The polarity is correct, the voltage is correct, and now I now the mAh is correct.

Anyone think there is any merit to his statement?

I've been using the BT60 battery for almost a month now and haven't noticed any issues with it and even if it caused a problem a Sprint rep gave it to me to use/I have insurance. A few people said there new Q came with the BT60 battery so I don't think the Motorola rep knew what he was talking about saying the BT60 would not handle the power draw the Q requires.

It says 1500 mAh in this link

ThanksI'm always using my phone and it seems to help a little which is enough for me to get through most days without charging it. Also I just prefer the thin design of the Q so I didn't want to get a bigger battery. One thing that is a little annoying with the Q is the battery meter is wacky with all my of my batteries. I got the battery free but I think you have 30 days to try the battery out. Also I plan on getting either the new Q or a HTC Touch soon so that's another reason why I'm not spending any money on a battery right now.

the extended battery i really like on the Q. sure it adds bulk but it makes it through the day a lot better. i like the feel of it in my hand when i use it.

If you do a search of the item number, I think they used a wrong picture at the nextel site. It's actually a BT-90 battery that is 1500mah.
